52A Chestnut Court is an affordable yet amazing student accommodation in Liverpool that comes with numerous shared apartments. Located at a 5-minute drive from Liverpool Hope University and a 9-minute drive from the University of Liverpool, it is always buzzing with students.


Features

Featuring a window that lets in a lot of sunlight, these gorgeous rooms will make you feel at home. The soft beds are comfortable and are accompanied by an overhead shelf and cupboard to store all the clothing items and accessories. It also comes with a study desk, some shelves, and a mirror. The shared kitchen has all the appliances such as a microwave, an oven, and an induction cooktop. The apartments also have a common area where the students can lounge with their friends on the couches.

Location and What's Hot?

BRAVO PIZZA or Med Kebab House are the places where one can grab some dinner. The students can also get breakfast and coffee from NFT Guild Cafe or The Clock Cafe a short walk from the accommodation. On weekends, birthdays could be celebrated at Prince Alfred or Wavertree Town Hall, which are in close proximity. You could also visit sites like Calderstones Park or Quirky Quarter on the weekends.

Commute

Take a bus from the Prince Alfred Road bus stop, which is a few minutes walk away, or the Grove Street bus stop, which is also a short walk away. A small drive will take you to LU Edge Hill train station to board a train for longer commutes.

    The cancellation policy is only in genuine circumstances. The student will have to find a replacement and that depends on case to case basis. An administrative fee will be applicable to proceed with the replacement.

    Approximately 2–4 weeks prior to the scheduled move-in date, students will receive check-in instructions via email. This communication will include the steps required to select a check-in date and time slot, complete necessary documentation, and settle any outstanding payments prior to arrival.In case of any questions or queries, please feel free to contact the Amber team, and our team will assist to ensure a smooth check-in process.

    Students who wish to extend their stay can contact the Amber team for renewal or rebooking at the same accommodation. Our team will support the renewal process and help students secure a suitable room of their choice. Students are encouraged to reach out early to ensure they can rebook the same room or another room of their choice at the same property.

    Early check-in requests can be shared in advance with the Amber team. Our team will do a feasibility check to facilitate early check-in requests based on room readiness and availability. Additional charges may apply where applicable.
  • Payment and Fees

    Security deposit

    1. To secure a room student has to Pay a Security Deposit, in which one Week's rent will be holding deposit and it will be non-refundable. 2. The deposit will depend on the room type you select. The deposit might change due to availability, please get in touch with your amber agent to know more. 3. The rest of the security deposit will be refundable after inspection less any charges and deductions once the student moves out.

    Payment instalment plan

    1. If the Student has UK based guarantor the student can opt for monthly installment plans. 2. If the student does not have a UK-based guarantor, they can pay in 2 half-yearly instalments or pay the whole rent upfront.

    Guarantor requirement

    To book a room UK-based guarantor is required if the student is paying in installments. To be eligible to act as your guarantor: 1. They must be residing in the UK and have a UK bank account. 2. You must provide the address of the guarantor and their proof of residence. 3. The guarantor whose details you provide must be able to guarantee the lower of:  The total sum of rent payable by you to your landlord over the period of one year; or The total sum of rent payable and Deposit by you to your landlord over the period of your tenancy if your tenancy is less than one year. In instances where you are not able to provide a guarantor situated in the UK, you will be required to pay 6 months rent or the whole rent upfront. Or you can use a private or public guarantor scheme.

    What is a guarantor? Do I need one?

    Yes, you will need a guarantor. A guarantor is someone who agrees to pay your rent. For example, a parent or close relative. If you don't pay your landlord what you owe them, they can demand your guarantor to pay on your behalf. Please read your tenancy agreement or your separate guarantor agreements, which sets out the guarantor's legal obligations. ‍

    How much is a deposit?

    Typically, a deposit is one month’s rent. Or, 3-5 weeks.

    Do I have to pay a 12-month contract?

    Most of our landlords would prefer you entered into a 10-12-month contract. You can sublet through property when you’re not there if you’re strapped for cash. Some of our landlords are happy for shorter lets but please get in touch to ask whether that is the case!

    Can I sub-let my room?

    Yes, the property platform allows subletting but make sure you have permission from your landlord! Or, ask us for advice.

    ‍How much are bills?

    Landlords should be able to provide a rough idea of how much bills will be for the property. All-inclusive bills for properties is usually easier but more expensive than sorting them out yourself as there is a mark up or you pay a management fee. We can offer you a bills included package with every home on our platform.

    ‍Is Wi-Fi included?

    It depends on the property – it will be clear in the property description whether Wi-Fi is included in the price. We also have partnered up with The Bunch to help you sort out your bills.

    Do I need a TV licence?

    Yes, a licence is required to watch any programmes (even if you’re not watching on a TV). ‍

    Do I Pay Council Tax?

    As you are a student, you should not pay Council Tax and you must remember to fill in this form as soon as you move into your new property. ‍

    Who protects my deposit?

    Your landlord must protect your deposit using a tenancy deposit protection scheme. It must be a Government approved deposit scheme.
