Mile End Canalside Residence is a magnificent student accommodation in London that provides the greatest en-suites as well as plenty of facilities. It is also close to numerous universities, including the Queen Mary University of London Mile End (5 minutes walk), and Hult International Business School (12 minutes drive).

Features

Londonist Mile End canalside residence offers a wonderful experience with all the amenities a student requires. They include a comfortable bed and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. They also give you a study table and a large wardrobe for storing your belongings. Aside from that, their bathroom contains all of the necessities. They also feature a window seat where you can relax with a cup of coffee in privacy. Aside from that, they feature laundry facilities, wheelchair access, a gym, a movie room, and several more amenities.

Location and What's Hot?

There are several bars and restaurants around, so you'll never be bored. Palmers, The Curve Mile End, Ciao Bella Italiano, The Pizza Room, Royale, and many other restaurants are available for breakfast or supper outings with friends. Aside from that, there's a Genesis Cinema nearby where you can watch movies with your friends on weekends. There's also McDonald's for quick meals; you may dine there on your way back from campus.

Commute

Traveling from one location to another is simple because this accommodation is well connected to public transportation. There are several bus stops from which to get a bus to your destination. Lichfield Road and Arbery Road are the nearest bus stops. They are both within walking distance of one other. There are also several subway stations nearby, the closest of which are Mile End and Stepney Green. Both are within 10-12 minutes of each other on foot.

Cancellation Policies

Cooling Off Period

If your check-in period is more than 6 weeks away, you can cancel and only be liable for the deposit and bedding and service fee. For check-ins with less than 6 weeks left, you’ll be liable to pay a 6-week cancellation fee, deposit, and bedding and service fee. There is no Cooling-Off period.

No Visa No Pay

You'll be subject to the standard cancellation policy for bookings if the refusal is less than 6 weeks before the start date. If your check-in date is more than 6 weeks away, please send the property management the embassy letter of rejection within 7 days of when you initially received it. You will be liable to pay the deposit upon receipt, and the remainder will be refunded. Failure to send the visa refusal letter within 7 days will make your booking subject to the standard cancellation policy

Replacement Tenant Accepted

If you have already checked into the property, you will still be liable for the total amount to end your Licence Agreement. If you still have more than 12 weeks left on your licence, you may be able to find a replacement tenant to take over your room. There will be a £100 fee to process this.

Room allocation

Students can indicate specific room number or location preferences during the booking process, and the Amber team will accommodate these preferences wherever possible, based on availability.

Check in guide

Approximately 2–4 weeks prior to the scheduled move-in date, students will receive check-in instructions via email. This communication will include the steps required to select a check-in date and time slot, complete necessary documentation, and settle any outstanding payments prior to arrival.In case of any questions or queries, please feel free to contact the Amber team, and our team will assist to ensure a smooth check-in process.

Renewal policy

Students who wish to extend their stay can contact the Amber team for renewal or rebooking at the same accommodation. Our team will support the renewal process and help students secure a suitable room of their choice. Students are encouraged to reach out early to ensure they can rebook the same room or another room of their choice at the same property.

Early check in policy

Early check-in requests can be shared in advance with the Amber team. Our team will do a feasibility check to facilitate early check-in requests based on room readiness and availability. Additional charges may apply where applicable.

Payment and Fees

Booking Deposit

1. You'll have to Pay a Deposit of £250 to secure your room. 2. The deposit will be refunded to you at the end of your tenancy period less any damages and pending charges. 3. The deposit is Non-Refundable in case you cancel your booking.

Pay In Instalment

1. You can pay the rent on an installment’s basis depending on the length of your booking. 2. The property is offering maximum 6 installments, please check with your amber agent to know more.

Mode Of Payment

Payments can be made through debit/credit cards and bank transfer only.

Guarantor Requirement

The property does not require you to provide a guarantor.

What happens if i leave my belongings behind after checking out?

You will be charged £50 for the removal and disposal of belongings upon your confirmation that they are trash. We do not offer storage facilities, so there will be a fine of your weekly licence fee for each week we are holding your belongings. Please do not leave any belongings in the common areas of the residence, as they will be done so at your own risk and may be removed.

It is safe to stay with the Management?

We hope that you feel safe and secure throughout your stay with us, we have reception hours during the day and 24/7 security and surveillance. Our doors are also using with a secure fob or card system depending on the residence and our team is ready to respond to any issue you may have.

What happens after I accept the quote?

If there are 6 weeks before your start date, you will be required to pay the deposit and first instalment to secure the room within 48 hours of the booking.

What if I fail to make the first instalment payment within seven days? will my room still be guarantied?

As our rooms are booked up so quickly, failure to make the first instalment in the given period will lead to the cancellation of the booking, and the deposit will be non-refundable.

Can i have guests over?

Yes, you are allowed guests just ensure you accompany them at all times and you check them in and out of the premises. Any guests staying over must be over 18 years old. Management reserves the right to restrict access to guests or refuse a guest entry.

Can I extend my stay?

We would be happy for you to stay with us. Please get in touch with your Sales Agent with your query, so we can assist, subject to availability.

Why should i choose this property?

What should I bring with me on arrival?

Please bring your confirmation of enrolment letter with you and proof of ID, ideally your passport or ID card.

What is the process for changing the room/residence while already staying? It is possible to change accommodation?

Yes, you can change the residence/room type after your check-in depending on availability, extra charges may apply.

Can i see the room before I make my final decision?

Yes, we can arrange an online viewing. Please inform your sales agent about your request.

Can i book a room with a conditional offer from my university?

Yes, you can inform your sales agent that you have not received your acceptance letter yet. Once you receive it you can send it to us before the check-in date.

After the first instalment has been paid, what happens next?

Once the deposit, first instalment and bedding and service fee has been paid within seven days of the quote being sent, you will receive a confirmation of enrolment letter. Congratulations! Your room is now secure and we will get it ready for your check-in date.

When do I vacate my room?

The check out time is 10 am on the last day of your stay.

I'm running a bit later, what happens if I checkout late?

Please inform our Team as soon as possible, we charge £50 per hour for late check out.

Will my deposit be refunded after checkout?

After you check out, we inspect the condition of the room for any possible damage. Upon inspection, if the room is in a good state, the deposit is refunded, and it could take between 4-6 weeks upon the completion of the deposit refund form.

Will my deposit be refunded if there is damage to my room before check out?

There will be a deduction. The deposit will be non-refundable or partially refundable, depending on the extent of the damage.

Can i book a room for dual occupancy?

Yes, we are providing dual occupancy options. Please contact your sales agent to get more information.

When will I be given my room number?

When you check-in, the receptionist will inform you about your room number. You can ask your sales agent to get more information.

When there is something needs to be fixed, whom do I need a contact?

Before check-in, you will receive an email with the contact details of our operation team. You can contact them in case of a maintenance issue.

Who will assist me for the check-in?

Receptionists of the residence will be assisting you for the check-in.

Do i need to inform anyone before check-out?

No, you do not need to. You should leave your key at the reception.

What is the time for check-in/out?

You can check-in at 15.00 pm and check-out at 10.00 am.

How can i book cleaning services?

You can contact your sales agent or operation team so we can arrange the service. Extra charges apply.

Are there any extra charges while staying in the residence?

There are no extra charges. All the bills and the residence facilities are included on your fee. You may need to pay the laundry by yourself.
