Meridian Court is in the popular Sherwood area of Nottingham with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants. The hall is 1.7 miles from NTU’s City Campus and 2.2 miles from the city centre. Flats contain up to ten students in bedrooms with washbasins, and shared bathrooms, kitchen-dining areas, and common rooms.

This hall has on-site parking (charges apply) and includes a free NCT bus pass* for students booking for a 44 or 51-week contract. *Free travel pass offer is only available valid for full 44 or 51-week bookings. On-site parking is available for all stay lengths subject to availability (charges apply).

Cancellation Policies

Cooling Off Period

The cooling off period  is 21 days before the start of your contract for all 44-week, 51-week, and single-semester contracts.

Deferring Studies

If you deferred your entry, you're still eligible for accommodation. If you didn't enrol for the previous year, the system should recognise you as a new first-year student and allow you to book as normal for the upcoming academic year.

Early termination by students

1).You may terminate this Agreement early if: a) you withdraw from your course b) you are excluded or refused admission. c) you have been absent from your course for more than 60 days due to illness and have formally agreed a suspension of studies with your higher education provider. d). You must give at least 4 weeks’ written notice of termination under the grounds set out in clause and will be liable for the License Fee throughout this notice period. e). Replacement Tenant Accepted

a). you have found a suitable replacement occupier who is both an existing NTU student and approved by us (acting reasonably); b) the proposed replacement occupier is not already in accommodation provided by us; c) the proposed replacement occupier completes their booking. This involves completion of all the following actions: agreeing a suitable payment for License Fee, completion of their license agreement and collection of the keys; d) you have paid, all of the Licence Fee due under this Agre

Guarantor Requirement

No. If you're staying in an NTU or UPP hall of residence, you won't need to pay a deposit or provide a guarantor. This is the case for Home and International students at any level of study and for any booking type.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Can I still apply for accommodation if I deferred my place?

What if NTU is my insurance choice?

If you've accepted NTU as your insurance choice, you'll be unable to book accommodation. If NTU becomes your firm choice after you've received your results, you'll be able to apply for accommodation once your place is confirmed.

Can I live with my friends?

Yes, you can book a room in the same flat as your friends, subject to availability. Your best chance for living with friends is to book your rooms when you’re together, so you can make sure you’re picking rooms in the same flat or residence.

Do you offer family or couples accommodation?

NTU does not currently provide university accommodation for families or couples.

Can I bring a car?

There is parking available at our outlying halls only. Permits are arranged through each halls' site team, please contact your hall for information about purchasing a permit. Our five city centre halls (Byron, Gill Street North, Gill Street South, Sandby, and Hampden) have no parking and the tenancy agreement for these halls states that students will not bring a car to the city.

Will I need a TV licence?

If you're going to watch TV, you may need a TV licence.

What length of contract do I need?

44 weeks is suitable for the majority of students. This allows you to keep the room until the summer without having to vacate over the winter break. We also have 51-week contracts, which are aimed at students needing to stay all year round, such as those on postgraduate courses, or international students unable to return home over the summer.
