Since its steel production days, Sheffield has undergone many changes and is now known for being a lively and vibrant city. The River Sheaf ran right through the city and inspired the name "Sheffield." The city is home to several renowned universities, including the University of Sheffield, Sheffield Hallam University and Sheffield College, which attract students from all over the globe.
