About Davis

The most populated city in Yolo County, California, is Davis. Situated in Northern California's Sacramento Valley. The Davis climate is characteristic of California's Central Valley Mediterranean climatic zone. It is similar to that of the adjacent city of Sacramento: warm and dry in the spring, summer, and fall, and chilly and damp in the winter. Two motorways, a north-south railroad, an east-west mainline, and a number of significant streets serve as internal dividers for Davis. Six major districts composed of smaller areas make up the city's unofficial divisions. The Davis Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual free celebration known as Celebrate Davis. Live music, food trucks, live animals, booths from Davis companies, and activities like zip-lining and rock climbing are all included. After dark, it ends with fireworks. At the University of California, Davis, Picnic Day is a yearly celebration that always takes place on the third Saturday in April. The US's biggest student-run event is this one.
