Drexel University student housing gives students access to a bustling public transportation system. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is the sixth-largest transportation system in the United States.
1. Rail - The SEPTA RR travels extensively within the city, where you can see some of the best universities in Philadelphia. It drops travellers to a total of three stops. The William H. Grey III 30th Street Railway station drops you at a mere 4-minute walk to Drexel University.
2. Subway System - the red and orange lines run across the city and arrive every few minutes, catering to the traveller’s convenience. These have many stops, and one can drop at the 34th Street Station for a mere 4-minute walk to the University.
3. Bus System - There are more than 100 bus routes that drop travellers at their preferred locations. Students can stop at Nesbitt Hall for a 2-minute walk to the University or the 34th St Station for a 4-minute walk to the University.
4. PATCO- The PATCO (Port Authority Transit Corporation) Speedline serves southern New Jersey with nine rail stops between Lindenwold and City Hall in Camden, NJ. You can also take PATCO to four Philadelphia Rail Stops, allowing you to transfer to the SEPTA Market-Frankford Line at 8th and Market.
5. Shuttle services- Last but not least, the University offers three different shuttle routes that are free of charge to all Drexel students. Drexel also has a great partnership with the University of Pennsylvania that allows you to use their services, too! All you need to ride is to show your DragonCard.
