Students are advised to take advantage of London’s efficient public transport network when exploring the city. Transport in London includes the underground (‘tube’), buses, trains and trams. The amount you pay is determined by how far you travel, with London being split into nine zones. The area is based in Zone 1 and gives you access to all the things to do in London.
1. Train: The main train station, Shoreditch High Street train station, is near the city centre and is a short drive from Anglia Ruskin University. The average cost of a train ticket is £6.70
2. Subway: The London Underground is an extensive transit system with multiple subway stations near BPP Shepherd’s Bush. The main station is the Shoreditch tube subway station, which is easily accessible from every student accommodation in Shoreditch. The average cost of taking the subway is £1- £3.
3. Bus: Several bus stops, such as Shoreditch High Street stops and the Pitfield bus stop, serve travellers around the area. You can access any bus journey for that particular day, and it costs about £4.
4. Bicycle: The city is well-serviced by cycle paths and even has cycle and pedestrian shared-use subways, which students can use to circumvent the ring road junctions. Students cycling around Shoreditch will find several covered cycle parking spaces near some of the best universities in London.
