All rooms have a TV but you will need to purchase your own TV licence. Their communal area comes equipped with a large screen TV however, that requires no TV license.

The Hub is minutes away from Central London, which can easily be accessed by walking or public transport.

Do I need to pay council tax?

No. If you are a full time student in the UK you do not have to pay council tax. You will however be required to provide a council tax exemption letter from your place of study which you will then send by post to the Lambeth Council tax department.

Is the Hub safe and secure?

Yes – here at The Hub they have 24-hour a day staff presence, CCTV covering all entrances and communal areas, and secure key fob access so they can keep track of everyone who comes and goes.

Is there always a member of staff available?

There is a member staff present 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on site. The Management Office is open between 8:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday.

Am I allowed to have guests?

Yes. It is your home so you are allowed to have guests visiting you. Their policy is one guest can stay over for three consecutive nights per week and the tenant must use the guest sign in book held in reception.

Can I smoke in the accommodation?

No. Smoking is not permitted in any area within The Hub. You can smoke outside the accommodation in designated areas and in the courtyard during the day. The courtyard closes at 11pm until around 7am.
