Your living costs at University View can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Nearly all the residents at University View are students at the University of Maryland and the per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. University View is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes applications from non-students and residents with children, at no extra cost other than regular charges for each bedroom space selected by the resident. In order to match roommates in shared apartments with college students, roommate consent is required for any occupant who is not a college student.

What kind of safety and security are provided?

University View has a monitored fire sprinkler system, electronic locks and individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrol officers are on-site as well. Management staff can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.

University View is a no-pets community. The community is smoke-free in all indoor and adjacent areas. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of roommates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.

University View offers optional paid parking in our attached parking garage or in surface lots right across the street. Limited guest parking is also available on a metered basis.

University View is connected directly to the University of Maryland campus by footbridge, and is a short walk to Engineering, Computer Science and Environmental Science buildings. The community is also served by UMD shuttle buses, seven days a week during the Fall and Spring semesters. Shuttles stop right outside the front door, running to various campus stops every 10 minutes from 7:30am to 5:30pm weekdays, and from 10am to 5pm on weekends. Night shuttle service continues through 9:50pm Sunday through Thursday, and through 2:30am Friday and Saturday nights.
