United Kingdom Travel Policies 🛬

A new set of rules will be in order from 8th June in the UK for people entering there by flight, train, or bus.

Things you need to do under this rule;

  1. You need to fill a form which will serve the details of your journey and also your contact. (Your refusal to fill this form, will result in a fine of £100. And you mightn't be allowed to enter the UK unless you're either British or UK resident.)

  2. You'll have to self-isolate for 14 days at your given address. The contact details in the form will be used to check if you're self-isolating. (In England and Wales if you fail to practice self-isolation, you'll face £1000 fine or some further actions could be taken.)

If you don't have a place to self-isolate.

Inform Border Force officers when you step foot in the UK. They'll find you a suitable place to stay safe.

Rules to follow while going out.

  1. Try to use public transport if you don't have a personal vehicle.
  2. While using public transport, cover your nose and mouth with a mask or a piece of cloth.
  3. Maintain a distance of 2 metres from everyone.

what after self-isolation ends?

You don't have to isolate yourself if you're found negative of coronavirus.

You will then have to follow an equivalent rule as people that sleep in the United kingdom .

Brunel University London

Swansea University will be ready to start teaching at the beginning of the new academic year in September. It's speculated that all courses will be delivered as a combination of both online and face to face teaching as needed.

1.Safety measures by the government.

All the passengers arriving in the UK need to provide details of their journey and contact information. They are supposed to induce a 14 days self-isolation period. Passengers need to provide officials with an address of their accommodation. In case someone fails to give an address, the government will arrange shelter for them. Officials will occasionally check if the person is staying at the given address.Those who are staying in England could be fined up to £1,000 if they are found to breach self-isolation.

(Several groups are exempt, including: Road haulage and freight workers Medical officials who are travelling to help fight coronavirus Anyone arriving from the Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man Seasonal agricultural workers if they self-isolate on the property where they are working.

EasyJet will restart a ''small number'' of flights on 15 June, with all passengers and cabin crew told to wear face masks.

Ryanair still plans to reintroduce 40% of its flights from 1 July, subject to travel restrictions being lifted and safety measures being brought in at airports.

British Airways is reviewing its plans to run 50% of its schedule from July, because of the new quarantine rules.)

The top priority for almost every university around the UK remains the safety of their staff, students and every member of their university community. All the UK Universities are committed to taking adequate measures as instructed by the government.

The universities are closely working with the government after their announcements regarding '14 days quarantine' of any new traveller. They're fully-fledged in their efforts to maintain the safety of the students. Many universities are also developing contingency plans for an instance where the international students wouldn't be able to make it to the campus next term.

Social distancing and safety measures are steps taken to keep the social contact between people to a bare minimum and to reduce the risk of getting infected.

. If you feel unwell at the airport, railway station or bus stop- don't travel. Seek for medical assistance and travel only when you're deemed fit.

. Stay indoors except for essential works like buying food or medications.

. Avoid eating in restaurants or ordering food online.

. Clean frequently touched objects and surfaces in your home and work environment.

. Covering your face will reduce the risk of getting infected especially if you're in an enclosed space. For, e.g., A lift.

. Sanitise your hands often or wash them with soap for at least 20 seconds.

. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unclean hands.

5. Return policies.

Travellers who once after reaching the UK feel unsafe might apply to return to their home. The Government of India has announced a series of repatriation flights under its ‘Vande Bharat’ mission, to return Indians stranded abroad to India. Currently, these flights are being managed by Air India. India has already successfully completed the first phase of 'Vande Bharat Mission.'
