  • Arizona State University Art Museum is an art museum operated by Arizona State University. It is located on the university's main campus in Tempe. The Art Museum has around 12,000 objects in its permanent collection. The building is Neoclassical, and it was constructed in 1930 and was remodelled in 1951.
  • Arizona Historical Society (AHS) is a non-profit organization with museums all over Arizona. It has a branch in tempe at Papago Park.   • Center for Meteorite Studies was founded in 1960, on the Tempe Campus of Arizona State University. Not only is it a centre for research and studies, it also operates as a meteorite museum which is open to the public. The collection contains specimens from over 1,600 separate meteorite falls and finds, it is also actively used internationally for planetary, geological and space science research.
  • Niels Petersen House is a local historic landmark in Tempe. Built in 1871 it is an example of Queen Anne Style brick architecture. The house is associated with Niels Petersen, a Danish immigrant and prominent local farmer and entrepreneur. It is further important for its design by James Creighton, a well-known Arizona architect.

  • Marquee Theatre is a small-sized music venue in Tempe which was originally opened in 1993 as "the Red River Opry" and catered for country music.   • Tempe Diablo Stadium is a baseball field located in Tempe. The stadium was built in 1968 and renovated in 2006. It is the spring training home of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. And the home field for night games of the Arizona League Tempe Angels.
  • Sun Devil Stadium built in 1958 is an outdoor football stadium located on the campus of Arizona State University. Sun Devil Stadium has been the setting for several movies over the years. It has been home ground of Arizona State Sun Devils since it opened in 1958.
  • Mona Plummer Aquatic Center is the aquatic center used by the Arizona State University Sun Devil swim team. It opened in 1981, costing four million dollars to build. The complex consists of three pools, including an Olympic-size competition pool, a diving tower, and seating for 2,000.

  • Tempe Tardeada has been held in Tempe since 1997, it takes place at Tempe Community Complex. Held in the month of October it celebrates the historical significance of Hispanics within the community of Tempe.   • Four Peaks Oktoberfest is held each year since 1973 at Tempe Beach Park. This event combines beer gardens, live music, a polka stage, great food including German fare, a carnival and kids activities.
  • Lost Lake Festival is a celebration of music, food and art. This new three-day festival features performances by incredible music artists. Chose from a variety of food vendors , see local art, enjoy craft beer and unique games and sports activities.
  • Homecoming is a time-honored ASU tradition. It brings together students, parents and alumni to celebrate. The weeklong festivities showcase the Sun Devil spirit through athletic events, fun on- and off-campus activities, and entertainment.
  • Fantasy of Lights Opening Night Parade has been a tradition since over 20 years now. The event is sponsored by Wells Fargo, and brings a crowd of over 35,000 spectators to downtown Tempe. This community tradition brings a varied lineup of parade units including floats, marching bands, and novelty units
  • Tempe Festival of Arts is a well loved community event that showcases over 350 artists from around the country. It is an urban fine art festival that features visual artists from around the country.

  • Tempe Town Lake is a reservoir that occupies a portion of the dry riverbed of the Salt River. Originally built in 1931, it was completely renovated in 1999 as part of the construction of Town Lake.It is nearly two 3.2 km long, with an average surface area of 0.91 km2, and an average depth of 16 feet.
  • Papago Park is a municipal park of the cities of Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona. It has been designated as a Phoenix Point of Pride. It includes Hunt's Tomb, built by George W.P. Hunt (Arizona's 1st governor),who was placed there after his death. Papago Park is a hilly desert park covering 1200 acres.
  • Pueblo Grande Ruin and Irrigation Sites are pre-Columbian archaeological sites and ruins, located in Phoenix, Arizona. It includes a historic platform mound and irrigation canals. It is believed that this area was settled around 450 BC and the site is believed to be abandoned by 1450 AD.
