Overview of amberscholar: Previous Editions

The inaugural edition of amberscholar took place in 2023 for the September Intake. 6,500+ people competed for the grant, and the program awarded a total of £10,000 in financial aid.

The first edition, similar to amberscholar 2.0, aimed to support students from various academic and socio-economic backgrounds to unleash their potential. With a unique SOP, Gideon Danso secured the first position with £5,000, Parisa Azizi Shamami the second position with £3,000, and Sakshi Shenoy the third position with £2,000.

The second edition of the amberstudent scholarship took place in 2024 for the January intake, and 2000+ students from all over the world competed for the scholarship. For the second edition of the scholarship program, we awarded a total financial aid of £5,000. With a wonderful SOP, Sadia Hossain Liya secured the 1st position with £2500. In the second position, we had Hekmatullah Amin, who won £1500, and Ann Madapatt Bennet secured the 3rd position with £1000.

The third edition of the amberscholar scholarship, held in 2024 for the September intake, saw participation from 12,000+ students worldwide. A total of $15,000 in financial aid was awarded to three exceptional winners. Fisayo Balogun secured 1st place with $7,000 for her passion for creative writing. Karan Krishnamurthy earned 2nd place and $5,000 for his dedication to supporting cancer patients through biotechnology. Natalie Mangen claimed 3rd place with $3,000, showcasing remarkable potential. Amberscholar continues to empower students globally.

The fourth edition of the amberScholar Scholarship took place in 2025 for the January intake, attracting  12,000+ students. Three outstanding winners received a combined $12,000 in financial aid. With an outstanding application, Khyati Dharmesh Bhatti secured the 1st position and received $6,000 in prize money. In the 2nd position, we had Jason Zixu Zhou, who won $4,000 and Stephen Sarpong Lartey secured the 3rd position with $2,000. Amberscholar continues to empower students globally.

To be a future recipient of this international scholarship, you will need to qualify for the prerequisites:

1. A short SOP pitching your dream and how much funding would you need from us.
2. Acceptance Letter
3. Portfolio or social media (anything that helps us learn more about you and your dream)

Terms and Conditions of Applying to amberscholar

1. Amberscholar is open to students enrolled in any college or university in the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia or Canada at the time of application.
2. The deadline for submitting your application for this scholarship 2026 is 31st August 2026.
3. Applicants must complete the online application form and submit all required documents by the specified deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered for this scholarship for students.
4. The recipients are selected based on submitted essays. The scholarship committee's decision is final and cannot be appealed.
5. The scholarship committee determines the scholarship amount. The amount will be paid directly to the recipient's bank account through bank transfer, which the winners can use for tuition and other educational expenses.
6. The scholarship 2026 is awarded for one academic year and is not renewable.
7. By accepting the amberscholar scholarship, recipients agree to participate in any publicity activities related to the scholarship 2026 program, including providing a photograph and allowing their name to be used in promotional materials by amber.
