At its core, #YourAmberStory is all about YOU - our amazing community of students living abroad and youngsters just like you! We want to showcase your unique perspective through videos highlighting your experiences at your student accommodation; it can be a review of the student property by giving a brief glance at the various spaces at the accommodation, discussing the amenities provided at the student accommodation in short, detailed room tours, your stories at our accommodations or even some of your common room chronicles! All and all, share all about what your experience has been at the student property, in all honesty.

Video guidelines
Video Type:
- Property Review - Review the student accommodation that you are staying at. Add all the aspects that you think are significant such as the amenities provided by the property and proximity to the university you attend. Also, add a brief description of the property's location, as in how close it is to prominent landmarks, bus stops, and metro stations. You can add a quick room tour highlighting the top features and the same for the rest of the spaces within the student accommodation. Ensure you cover the whole student property, including the common spaces.
- Language of video: English.
Video Length: The video length should be around 20-60secs.
How to shoot the video?
- Ensure the environment is well-lit while shooting the video and that you are clearly audible.
- You can shoot the video either in your room or in a common social space within the property. Although, ensure the video covers all the significant spots, and everything is highlighted.
- It doesn't need to be a very formal video with a high-quality setup. Just turn on your selfie camera, share your experience and showcase your accommodation.
- You can shoot the video in landscape / Portrait mode
- Create a detailed video about the property, including all the amenities, all the spaces at the property, your room, the common area, and everything that the student accommodation includes.
What should you cover in the video?
As you tour the property premises, talk about your entire experience there. Speak about the amenities that are available in the room and the ones that are provided to all the students in common. Discuss your stay at the property as well, including how comfortable it was, everything you loved, and what you liked best about it all. Try to highlight this in the video tour.
You can share some of the experiences/stories of your time at the accommodation, also your booking experience with amber. Following are a few pointers that you can talk about (these are just suggestions and not mandatory):
- How is it living there, and what's the atmosphere of that property like, spacious? Share your experience of staying at the student property.
- Quality of the property.
- Room facilities - include all amenities provided in the room. Here you can include if the room is fully furnished and has efficient storage space; you can also discuss the room type or configuration you have opted for.
- Amenities that the property has to offer. This must include facilities that the student accommodation provides. You can briefly discuss the common amenities such as wifi speed, common areas, in-house gym, and more. This may differ from property to property.
- Is the property maintained properly by the management?
- Are the issues resolved promptly after you raise them?
How to share your video?
Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with further instructions and the link to submit the video. The final video should be named in the specified format only, i.e. “PropertyName_RoomType_CityCountry”. Terms and Conditions
- The #YourAmberStory campaign is open for all who have stayed or are staying at the accommodations and have booked through amber.
- All content submitted should be original and created by the participant, and the participant agrees to allow amber to use the content on their website and social media channels.
- Up to £25 compensation will be provided for each accommodation review shared.
- Payments will be processed in 45-60 days if the video complies with amber's guidelines.
- Guidelines for the quality check will be set internally, and qualification/disqualification of any submitted video will be as per amber’s discretion.
- By submitting content, the participant warrants that they have all necessary rights and permissions to the content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
- By submitting content, the participant grants amber the ownership of the content.
- The participant agrees to indemnify amber against any harm, damage, costs, or expenses that may occur and is responsible for any violations of the terms and conditions.
- Amber reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates the terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent, deceptive, or unethical behaviour.
- Amber reserves the right to modify or change these terms and conditions at any time without any prior notice.
