Canada Study Visa Success Rate Rise to 90% Amid India-Canada Friction

Despite the turmoil between the Canadian and Indian governments, Canada has not stopped issuing the Canada study visa. Even if you are falling somewhere near the required score to study in this North American country, there is a higher probability of you landing the chance to study in Canada. According to the recent Canada student visa news, a hike has been observed in the number of Canada student visas allocated to students in the last few months, lying somewhere between 85% to 95%.

Despite the tension, Canada has adhered to its immigration policies, making it extremely convenient for international students to obtain a Canada student visa. Various students appearing for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) can aim to score six bands along with 5 bands in two modules and can easily reserve a Canada study visa. For PTE (Pearson Test of English), a score of 60 is standardised, whereas student applications with a score lying somewhere around 57, 58, and 59 are also eligible to obtain a Canadian student visa. 

Some of the prominent IELTS and PTE centres in Punjab have noticed a rise in the Canada study visa success rate even after the altercation between both countries. The diplomatic relationship between the Indian and Canadian governments went sour after the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, remarked on India’s probable role in killing Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Canadian citizen and a militant. Despite this major international dispute that took up the headlines in major publications, Indian students are still able to get their Canada study visas processed quite effortlessly. 

Director of Pyramid e-Services in Jalandhar, Sunil Kumar Vashisth, has added that the students with considerably lower scores than the standard set are getting their coveted visa stamps. Sumit Jain from Jain Overseas, one of the most eminent IELTS and overseas consultancies based out in Jalandhar, stated, “In the past few months, we have processed around 250-300 Canada student visa files, with the majority of it being received in the last month after the crisis took place.” He also added, “It's really appreciable how both countries, despite their differences, have decided not to hinder the immigration process for the students. This has spiked the Canada study visa success rate. The pace at which Canadian student visas are getting approved has also increased. The visas that usually take longer are being received in between 12-20 days based on the statistics for the past month.” Sumit’s consultancy received 205 visas in a single day, which is a magnificent achievement. 

“Throughout the first week of this month, we already have a bunch of visas processed that we applied for around 20th September. This surge is also seen as visa processing has shifted to online mode, and the geographic location doesn’t matter. The consultancies have not seen any significant change in their visa proceedings, and the surge for Canada student visa success rate is above 90%.” Sunil Kumar added.

Based on this recent Canada study visa news, certain visa consultancies across the country have witnessed a surge in the student visa success rate, especially over the past three weeks ever since the two countries entered the diplomatic battlegrounds. Nevertheless, the immigration policies have not seen much difference no matter the India-Canada stand-off. The same also goes for tourist and other kind of visas issued by the Canadian government. This rise has helped a lot of students live their Canadian dream without having to worry about visas.
