SpacesShared and guard.me collaborate on a student housing project

In the latest Canada student housing news, a leading student health insurance provider has partnered with a home-sharing company in order to address the rising shortage of beds in the nation.  SpacesShared and guard.me have come together to co-develop new products that will let older students share their space with students. 

According to the President and global CEO of guard.me, Keith Segal, “Our purpose is to help make a difference in people’s lives — a value we share with SpacesShared.” Additionally, he stressed the importance of safe and affordable student accommodation options. Furthermore, he added, “We hear from our partners and the students we support about the need for more safe and affordable housing options, so when we learned about SpacesShared, we knew we wanted to be involved. Because this project also provides a new way for older adults to age in place, it is truly a win-win for Canada.”

With this, the newly founded association between these two giants will also be working closely to analyse and research the potential reasons for the rising issues impacting housing. Meanwhile, SpacesShared is also focusing on expanding its team and technology to carry out this task in different parts of Canada.
