New York University: Rankings, Fees, Top Courses
NY(U CAN DO IT)

Have you ever considered studying at an elite university in the US? Chances are that you might have s=come across New York University or NYU. With top ranked universities and high quality of education everyone wants to become a part of the NYU cohort and community. Before you make a decision about NYU being your top choice, make sure you are familiar with its rankings, fees, and top courses that are taught here. In this blog we are going to breakdown all these factors to make your research better and stronger.

About NYU

Since its founding in 1831, NYU has been an innovator in higher education, reaching out to an emerging middle class, embracing an urban identity and professional focus, and promoting a global vision that informs its 19 schools and colleges. Today, that trailblazing spirit makes NYU one of the most prominent and respected research universities in the world, featuring top-ranked academic programs and accepting fewer than one in eight undergraduates. Anchored in New York City and with degree-granting campuses in Abu Dhabi and Shanghai as well as 12 study away sites throughout the world, NYU is a leader in global education, with more international students and more students studying abroad than any other US university. NYU students come from nearly every state and 133 countries, and the university draws upon the diverse backgrounds of our faculty, staff, and students, ensuring its scholarship and teaching benefit from a wide range of perspectives. NYU takes seriously its role as an engine of social mobility, and stands out among the top US universities in its representation of low-income and first-generation students within its community.

Why apply to NYU?

There are a lot of reasons to apply to NYU; here are a few of them

  1. Location: NYC is the most complex, beautiful, heinous, creative, magical, dirty, heartless, fantastic, and a million other superlatives city in the world. The. World. There is no place like it on Earth. It is an extremely challenging place to live and it can be a trial by fire. Safety nets are few and far between. But like they say, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. If and when you leave, you will feel stronger and wiser if also a bit beaten down. Don't be surprised if you experience a weird gravitational pull that keeps bringing you back there.
  2. Prestige: it matters. The United States is NOT a meritocracy. We are social creatures. People don't do favors for strangers very often and everyone needs a favor now and then. These days it is impossible to get experience without having experience. So how do you break in to that catch 22? Connections. NYU has them. Many other places don't. This is particularly important in creative industries.
  3. Faculty: this goes hand in hand with prestige. Prestigious Universities attract funding and funding attracts talent. Talent gets passed to students, students succeed, university becomes more prestigious. This is why prestigious universities are so selective. They are protecting their own cultural capital.

Notable Alumni

Every year New York University witnesses thousands of students throw their graduation caps in the air, fitting celebration to their years of hard work and a worthy beginning to a lifetime of achievements.
