More commonly known as the German Academic Exchange Service is an organisation of a cluster of Germany’s educational institutions and universities around the world. This scholarship for Indian students in Germany is awarded to those who wish to pursue a full-time course of study and also require a scholarship. The students who apply for this scholarship are needed to complete their bachelor’s degree for not more than the past six years of completion. They also are required to show proof of work experience, which is supposed to be more than 2 years. Students receive a financial award worth €850 for students who are pursuing a postgraduate degree and €1200 for students who are pursuing PhD studies. The financial award is awarded to students monthly till their course is completed. 

2. MAWISTA Scholarship

‍Scholarship Type: Need-Based Scholarship

The Mawista Scholarship is a scholarship provided by MAWISTA, a health insurance company based in Germany. MAWISTA has been providing scholarships to deserving students since 2013 and assists students in studying in a foreign country while taking care of their children. MAWISTA scholarship. The unique factor about this scholarship for Indian students in Germany is that the students are not judged on the basis of academic achievement or excellence. Instead, students are chosen based on their determination to complete their studies abroad. Students are awarded a one-time payment of €3000. 

3. Heinrich Böll Scholarship for International Students

Who Can Apply: Bachelors, Masters, PhD Students.
Scholarship Type: Fully Funded Scholarship

The Heinrich Boll Scholarship for International Students is a fully-funded scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to students who are pursuing bachelor's, master's or PhD studies. The requirement for students is that they need to pursue their studies in a German state or a German state-recognised university. The students who are chosen for this scholarship show excellent academic records and also have interests in courses like ecology, democracy, human rights and justice. Students chosen for this scholarship are also politically and socially engaged. Non-EU students, which includes Indian students, receive €850 per month as a stipend. Scholarship Type:  Merit-Based Scholarship

Einstein International Postdoctoral Fellowship is a fellowship programme for students and Junior research group leaders. Here, group leaders can set up their own research groups and labs. However, A junior research group leader needs to have financial support from the DFG or ERC starting grant. This funding is only available for a researcher who is a postdoctoral researcher. The salary of the researcher is decided by the state of Berlin. The research group receives funding for five years, and the funds can only be used for research purposes. 

5. Deutschland Stipendium

The Deutschland Stipendum is a need-based scholarship. This scholarship for Indian students in Germany is awarded to students who wish to study in German Universities. The scholarship is awarded by all the universities that participate in the Deutschland Stipendium National Scholarship Programme. The award winners of this scholarship receive €150 every month. However, the applicants who show extraordinary skulls in academic, athletic and overall performance receive €300 every month from the universities that participate in the programme. The scholarship is only awarded for two semesters. Students are reviewed after two semesters. Students who are deemed as deserving continue receiving the scholarship.

6. Amelia Earhart Fellowship for Women 2023

Who Can Apply: Ph.D. holders and doctoral degrees in Aerospace engineering or space sciences.
‍Scholarship Type: Merit-Based Scholarship

The Amelia Earhart Fellowship was established in honour of the famed pilot Amelia Earhart. This scholarship for Indian students in Germany is only awarded to 30 women of any nationality pursuing PhD or doctoral degrees in the field of aerospace engineering or space sciences in any university in the world. The award winners of this fellowship receive $10,000. Students are required to pursue a full-time PhD or doctoral degree. They are also required to have completed a year of their degree. 

7. Friedrich Ebert Scholarship

Who Can Apply: Students willing to pursue UG and PG in Germany
‍Scholarship Type: Merit-Based Scholarship

The Friedrich Ebert Scholarship is awarded to students who show excellence in academic performance and strong social and political involvement. There are 2000 scholarships awarded to students who are willing to study Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in German. Students who are pursuing undergraduate studies are awarded €650 every month, and students who are pursuing postgraduate studies are awarded €1000 every month. The selection process for this scholarship for Indian students in Germany is done through two interviews by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. 

8. DLD Executive MBA Scholarship

‍Scholarship Type: Merit-Based Scholarship

The DLD Executive MBA Scholarship is one of the most popular scholarships for an Executive MBA in the Creative Leadership Program. The award winners for this scholarship for Indian students in Germany are awarded €53,000 in tuition fees to support their education. Three more finalists are also selected to receive awards up to €10,000 in tuition fees. The applicants are required to hold a graduate degree and need to have a strong professional background with a creative mind. 9. Kofi Annan MBA scholarships

The Kofi Annan MBA scholarship is awarded to students who are emerging leaders from developing countries. This fully funded scholarship for Indian students in Germany is awarded to a select 5 students who are pursuing a full-time MBA course or a full-time MIM course. Students will receive a full tuition scholarship, whereas MBA students will receive €43,500, and MIM students will receive €25,000. Students will also receive compensation for travel, and their living expenses will also be covered. The travel costs, visa, housing, insurance, placement and networking are also covered by the Kofi Annan MBA Scholarship. 

10. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Scholarship

‍Scholarship Type: Merit-Based Scholarship

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship for Indian students in Germany. This scholarship is for students who have completed their Undergraduate or postgraduate studies and wish to study further in Germany. Students who have an interest in political studies and have an amazing academic record are preferred and are usually awarded this scholarship for a masters in Germany for Indian students. A monthly stipend of €1,2000 per month for students who are pursuing their PhD in germany. For students who are pursuing postgraduate study, students are awarded €861 per month.
