No Visa No Pay

If an Australian Visa is rejected before the Agreement start date, the tenant may cancel by providing valid written evidence and receive a full refund of the deposit.

If the tenant’s university enrolment offer is withdrawn before the Agreement start date, the tenant may cancel by providing valid written evidence and receive a full refund of the deposit.

Extenuating Circumstances

If the tenant’s employment is terminated before the Agreement start date, they may cancel by providing valid written evidence and receive a full refund of the deposit.

Booking Deposit

A deposit of up to 2 weeks’ rent is required when applying for or entering an accommodation agreement. The deposit becomes the first 2 weeks’ rent after move-in. If a long-term accommodation application is not approved, the deposit is refunded less any disclosed banking surcharge.

Security Deposit

A bond equivalent to 4 weeks’ rent is required under a Residential Tenancy Agreement. Bond payment requirements vary by state and are handled through the relevant bond authority.

Rent must be paid fortnightly.
