Located in Melbourne, Australia, Monash University is a public research university which has its origins traced back to 1958. State of Victoria's second oldest University - Monash University is home to major research facilities, including the Australian Synchrotron, the Monash Law School, the Australian Stem Cell Centre, the Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP), 17 co-operative research centres and 100 research centres. 

Catering a total of over 78,000 students, the Monash University is one of the two universities in Australia to be ranked in the École des Mines de Paris. The Monash offers a wide range of both undergraduate and postgraduate courses and is also a member of Australia's Group of Eight, the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, and the ASAIHL.

Some of the notable alumni of Monash University include Simon Crean- (Ex Cabinet member in Rudd Government), Lim Guan Eng (Minister of finance, Malaysia), Anna Burke (Previous Speaker of Australian House of Representatives), and Ian Macfarlane (Governor of Reserve Bank of Australia). 

Student accommodation Monash University

Clayton campus

The Clayton campus is spread across an area of 1.1 km² and is the flagship and the largest campus of Monash. Located on Wellington Road, Clayton is home to the faculties of Business & Economics, Engineering, Arts, Medicine, Education, Law, IT, Nursing and Health Sciences. Apart from this, the campus is also home to several student bars, retail outlets, restaurants, on-campus accommodation and colleges. 

Caulfield campus

Located at 900 Dandenong Road, the Caulfield campus is the second-largest campus of the Monash University.  The campus is home to faculties of Art Design & Architecture (MADA), Information Technology and Medicine, Arts, Business & Economics, Nursing and Health Sciences. 

Alfred Campus

Monash University's Alfred campus located in the Alfred Hospital is home to the Central Clinical School and the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine which contains the Department of Forensic Medicine and the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine.

Parkville campus

Located on 381 Royal Parade, 2 km north of the Melbourne CBD in the Melbourne suburb of Parkville, the Monash's Parkville campus is home of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. The faculty specialises in the areas of medicinal chemistry and formulation science and also offers Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science and the Bachelor of Pharmacy undergraduate degrees. 

Peninsula campus

Situated in the bayside suburb of Frankston on the edge of Melbourne, the Peninsula campus is a centre of undergraduate and postgraduates studies in Health Science, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Psychology. Apart from this, the Peninsula campus also houses the Peninsula School of Information Technology. 

City Campus

Monash Law City Campus harbours the postgraduate Faculty of Law and offers Monash Law Masters and JD programmes. 

Located at 555 Lonsdale Street, the city campus is nestled between the Office of Public Prosecutions Victoria and Owen Dixon Chambers. Also, the Children's Court of Victoria and the Commonwealth Law Courts are just a short drive away from the campus.
