For AY 25-26 & AY 26-27: 1. The deposit amount varies depending on the property. Once paid, your deposit is protected by a government-approved deposit protection scheme for the duration of your tenancy. Please note that this deposit cannot be used towards your rent instalments. 3. At the end of your tenancy, the deposit will be returned to you: subject to the terms of your contract, after a room inspection. Any deductions for damages or outstanding charges will be outlined in your tenancy agreement. Refunds can take up to 28 working days to process. 4. Your deposit is securely held by a recognised scheme, such as the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (England and Wales) or Safe Deposits Scotland. You’ll receive an email with your deposit repayment ID, which you’ll need to authorise your refund and provide your bank details. Please note: 1. All refunds are issued in GBP, and additional fees may apply if you're using a non-UK bank account. 2. Prestige Student Living cannot influence the deposit refund process. Please include your full name and student ID as the payment reference. Note that international transfers may incur additional charges from your bank, so please account for this when making payment. To request our bank details or confirm payment instructions, please contact your property team. Please Note: Important Payment Information: 1. You will never be asked to make a payment to any bank account other than the official one provided by your property team. 2. Cash payments are not accepted under any circumstances.
For AY 25-26 & AY 26-27: A. The property requires you to have a valid UK Guarantor if you wish to pay in installments. B. If you are unable to provide your own UK Guarantor, the property recommends the service of Housing Hand. C. The property does not accept international guarantors. Please Note: Your UK guarantor must: - 1. Be a resident in the UK for a minimum of 1 year. 2. Be over 21 years of age 3. Be a homeowner or in full time employment 4. Provide a copy of photographic identification, such as a passport, driving licence or ID badge 5. Provide a copy of proof of your UK address which must be less than 3 months old, such as a utility bill (e.g. electricity, water, gas, telephone), a bank statement or a Council Tax bill.
For AY 25-26 & AY 26-27: Dual occupancy is available for most rooms that are 23sqm or larger. Both applicants must apply separately and clearly state in their applications that they are requesting dual occupancy. The total rent will be calculated as the standard room rate plus an additional £50 per week, then split evenly between both occupants, unless specified otherwise.
For AY 25-26 & AY 26-27: 1. If you have a UK guarantor, you're eligible to pay your rent in three instalments, with the first payment due three weeks before your check-in date. 2. If you do not have a UK guarantor, you’ll need to pay your rent in full at least six weeks before your tenancy start date. Please ensure that all rent due has been paid before you arrive to check in. On-site car parking is available at some The Store House properties, but is not included within the rental price unless explicitly stated and confirmed in writing. Payments for car parking permits are separate to your tenancy agreement. Please speak to the property team if you wish to purchase a car parking space. Car parking spaces are very limited and are strictly on a first-come first-served basis.
Can I book at The Store House if I'm under 18?
If you turn 18 in the first semester of university, The Store House can accept your booking at properties where there is 24/7 security available and have an adult over the age of 18 must be a co-signatory on your tenancy agreement and must accept the terms of it.
They can accept under 18s in some of their properties subject to their Policy for Students under the Age of 18.
Note : Aspen property does not accept bookings from students under the age of 18.
Can I purchase bedding and kitchen packages at The Store House?
Yes you can order a package to be waiting for you upon arrival on their starter kit ordering portal at The Store House.
What do I need to bring with me to The Store House?

Is there car parking facilities for when I move in to The Store House?

What can I bring to The Store House?
At The Store House, you can bring most of your belongings but some electricals aren't suitable for their properties. Non UK compliant electricals such as rice cookers are not suitable for use with UK power outlets and this can cause fire risks.
Do you provide summer accommodation at The Store House?
Yes. At The Store House, the summer bookings usually open around March. Keep a look out for pricing and information or contact the amber sales agent.
Do I have to move out of The Store House during the holidays?
Your room at The Store House is yours for the full contract period and you don’t need to move out during academic breaks.
Does my rental price include insurance?
Contents insurance is included at some management properties, which will be shown on the property page and details of the insurance can be obtained from the property manager when you check in. If you wish to confirm whether the property offers contents insurance, please contact the property team directly. Please note they advise taking out contents insurance if it is not included at your property and management is not liable for the loss or damage of your personal belongings and room contents.
Do I need to pay council tax?
If you are a qualifying full time student, you will be exempt from paying Council Tax. You must provide them with your council tax exemption certificate which your university will be able to arrange.
If you do not have this when you move in because you have not yet enrolled on your course, please ensure that you bring with you the name of your university and your university student ID number.
Recycling
Recycling is one of the best ways for you to have a positive impact on the world in which they live. Recycling is important to both the natural environment and them. They must act fast as the amount of waste they create is increasing all the time.
Management want to do their bit to protect the world, and they’re sure you want to do your bit too, so to make being eco-friendly easy for you they’ve provided recycling and refuse bins throughout your accommodation and they encourage all students to use the facilities provided to recycle waste where possible.
You should make sure that you empty packages completely and give them a quick rinse before you recycle them. Below you can find examples of what you can recycle and what goes in the different bins.
Be aware that if you put things in the wrong bin, it will contaminate the whole waste load which means that they cannot send that waste to be recycled. So, please take an extra couple of seconds to put things in the correct bin so they can help divert as much waste from going to landfill as possible.
Almost anything made of glass can be recycled, so make sure you put items like glass bottles and jars in the right bin and do not recycle broken glass or light bulbs. Anything that does not feature a recycling label must be put in the refuse bin. Other items that are not recyclable include: batteries, electrical appliances, kitchen waste, polystyrene, foam and sanitary products.

Can I move in before I pay my rent?

How long does a viewing take?
A viewing usually takes around 15 to 20 minutes, however you can spend as long as you wish viewing the property.
What will I be shown on my viewing?
The property team will guide you around the building and show you the social areas, outdoor spaces and on-site facilities as well as the rooms you would like to see (dependent upon availability). Please be aware that some rooms and apartments that you view may be occupied by their current residents.
I'm in a different country how do I view a property?
