How often is the home cleaned?

They thoroughly clean your home before you arrive. Upon request, residents can schedule cleanings during their stay at a frequency that works for them.

What are your cleaning standards?

All our homes are professionally cleaned, and They complete an inspection before every stay to make sure the home meets our high standards. While They’ve always upheld the highest of standards, They’re preventing transmission of coronavirus by adding additional cleaning tasks aligning with the CDC’s recommendations: Cleaners will disinfect all “high-touch areas” and other surfaces with bleach or other strong disinfectants solutions. Cleaners will leave windows open during the cleaning to properly ventilate apartments. They request that our cleaning partners wear gloves, masks, and shoe covers.

When will my security deposit be returned?

They will return your security deposit minus any charges related to excess wear and tear within 15 business days of checkout.

How will my security deposit be returned?

Your deposit will be returned via your original payment method. There are three exceptions to this: If you paid through a bank account and stayed longer than 90 days, They will refund you via check If you paid through a bank account and have deductions, They will refund you via check If you paid through an international bank account, They will refund you via a wire transfer (you are responsible for wire transfer fees)

What is the typical lease term?

Our typical lease term is 1-2 years.

For the furnished model, who furnishes the home?

They accept pre-furnished homes for our furnished model. Our Design and Onboarding teams partner with owners to ensure the home is properly set up for 30+ day stays. There may be some items that need to be removed or need to be added - if that’s the case, our team will be there to assist.

Who pays for utilities?

Owners continue paying for municipal account utilities like water, trash, gardening, and snow removal. The property manages the non-municipal utilities like electricity, gas, and internet, and either pays for them directly or deducts them in opex fees.

Can I schedule a viewing?

They don't offer viewings of our homes to respect the privacy and convenience of our current residents. However, They offer a 3D tour, floor plan, and photos for each home.

What is the minimum lease length?

Our minimum stay length in all cities is 30 nights.

Do you offer unfurnished homes?

No, They offer furnished homes only. This means that at any Accommodation home, all your home basics will be ready and waiting when you move in.

Do I need renter’s insurance?

They highly recommend that our residents obtain renter’s insurance. If you would like to waive insurance, contact our leasing team. They recommend Lemonade for competitive pricing and ease of use.

Can I extend my stay?

If your home is not booked immediately after your original lease ends, yes! However, our homes do book quickly and if another resident is booked in your home after your lease ends, They will not be able to extend your stay in that home. Inquire early if you think you might need to extend your stay. 

What are acceptable forms of ID?

Only government-issued IDs are accepted. Depending on what country or location you’re from, one of the following types of government IDs are accepted: Driver’s license Passport National identity card

When will I be asked for an ID?

You’ll be asked to verify your ID before checking into the home. You must complete this step in order to receive access instructions. You can also verify your ID at any time from the bottom of your Settings page.

Do you perform background checks?

They run background checks for Accommodation residents using the information you provide us during the booking process.

How does a fixed term lease work?

Simple! You check in on the start date of the lease and you check out by 11am on the end date of the lease. If you are unsure of your end date, ask us for a flexible lease.

How does a flexible lease work?

A flexible lease has no specific end date. When you’d like the lease to end, give us at least 30 days notice. For example, if today is January 15, the earliest your lease could end is February 14.

What do I need to pay to book?

You can always see the breakdown of what’s due at the time of application on the home's listing page. For stays over 35 days, rent for the first 30 days of your stay, the one-time cleaning fee, and the security deposit are due at booking. For shorter stays, rent for your full stay, the one-time cleaning fee, and the security deposit are due at booking.

What is the turnover fee?

The turnover fee covers a deep clean and restocking conducted before residents move in. This cleaning is necessary to ensure a spotless move-in for all residents.

What are the payment options?

Credit card or ACH payment (via Stripe) on your Payments Page Wire transfer (contact us for wiring info) Other payment options will be evaluated upon request based on the merits of each particular situation.

If I move in mid-month, is that when I pay my rent each month?

Rent payment is always due on the 1st of each month, except for first month’s rent which is prorated and due prior to move in.

Is there a utilities cap?

Yes, there is a cap on utilities, which means that They only charge for excessive use. Excessive use occurs only when the sum of Gas and/or Electricity and/or Water/Sewer reaches usage or charges of more than $250 a month.

Can I pay my own utilities?

For efficiency, They do not allow utilities accounts to be transferred to residents.

What is the House Manual?

Each confirmed reservation comes with a house manual, which details important information about your stay and the home itself. Included in the house manual will be information about: door codes or keys, WiFi password, parking (if applicable), mail, fixtures and appliances, contact information, garbage day instructions, and other details about your home. You'll receive the house manual by email once your lease is confirmed.

When do I receive check-in information (codes or keys)?

Access codes will be emailed to you on your move in day at 2:45pm. They will also be revealed in the house manual at the same time.

Can I check in early/check out late?

Check in is at 3pm and check out is at 11am. If you need a check in or check out time outside of these standards times, get in touch. If They can accommodate the requested time, They will!

Are overnight visitors allowed?

Overnight visitors are allowed, but with the following restrictions. Guests are not allowed for more than 15 consecutive days or 30 days in a calendar year. If you would like to add an occupant to your lease, contact us immediately; if you do not add a long-term guest to your lease you will be in breach of the agreement. Also, no more than 2 occupants per bedroom are allowed at a given time. Finally, please never give out door codes to a guest!

What is the procedure for checking out of my unit?

You will receive an email with detailed check-out instructions, but these are the main steps: -Return your keys -Dispose of trash -Empty the fridge -Set up mail forwarding -Lock the property

What happens if I check out late?

Check out is at 11am. If you need to stay in the home past this time, you will be charged the cost of rescheduling our cleaners and quality assurance inspectors, a $150 fee.

I have a lot of stuff. Can I use a mover?

In most cases, this is completely fine. However, some of our apartment complexes, especially in New York, will require proof of insurance for the moving company. Some buildings also require reservations for their freight elevators. This can get complicated, so contact us at least 5 business days before check-in if you plan to hire movers or want to rent the freight elevators.

Are pets allowed?

Many of our homes allow pets. You can check if a specific home allows pets in the Amenities section on the listing page. Pets are limited to two per home and they have several dog breed restrictions. Most of our dog-friendly homes do not allow American Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Akitas, Cane Corsos, Presa Canarios, Bull Mastiffs, Staffordshire Terriers, Dobermans, German Shepherds, Boxers, Malamutes, Huskies, Dalmatians, Chow Chows, Fila Brasileiros, Wolf hybrids. they charge a $500 fee for the first pet and $250 for each additional pet. This fee is a one-time, nonrefundable fee that covers property pet fees and other operational costs. All pet-related excessive cleans and damages will be debited from the security deposit. they encourage individuals with service animals or one of the breeds listed as restricted to contact us before booking.

What furniture can I expect?

Your home will come with furniture and decor thoughtfully chosen by an in-house designer based on the space's functional and aesthetic needs. The design of each space is a little different. Photos of each home will give you a good idea of what furniture to expect in a specific home.

What is the protocol for support animals?

For support animals, they require a certified letter signed by a health professional. Please upload into your application. they will never ask for documentation associated with Service Animals, in compliance with ADA requirements.

Can I bring my own furniture?

All of our units are furnished and they typically do not remove or swap out furniture. However, you may bring in additional furniture if you'd like, though they ask that you remove it when you leave. If you have a specific request about a particular piece of furniture, they are happy to hear it and assess whether it is feasible on a case-by-case basis.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking of any kind is not permitted in any property houses. Smoking may result in the loss of your entire security deposit.

Does my home have air conditioning?

A/C availability will vary by home. Please check the "amenities" section on the listing page to see if a home has A/C.

Is parking available? Do I need a permit for street parking?

Each home listing will indicate whether there is designated parking included and, if not, how difficult it is to find street parking in that area. Some areas do require a street parking permit. Please inquire further if parking is a priority for you.

Do your homes have WiFi?

All homes come with complimentary 100 mbps WiFi. If speed ever becomes an issue, let us know and they'll take care of it.

Do you offer refills during a stay?

They currently do not offer refills of supplies during your stay.

What should I pick up on my first shopping trip after I arrive at my home?

While everyone’s needs are different, here are a few things they’ve found helpful: Replenishment of paper towels and toilet paper. While your home is stocked with enough products to get you started, you may need to replenish during your stay. Cleaning supplies. Depending on your level of vigor when it comes to cleaning, you might want a duster, a wet mop, or another cleaning product that is essential for your routine. Kitchen extras. If you’re cooking just a little, pick up pantry staples like cooking oil, salt & pepper, and your favorite spices. If you plan to make full use of the kitchen, residents often pick up a can opener, food storage containers, and speciality cooking tools or equipment they can’t live without. Personal touches. A candle, fresh flowers, or anything that helps you feel at home!

If my home is in a complex with community amenities, do I have access?

This varies by city and building. In cities where shelter-in-place orders are lifted, some shared spaces may be reopening. In cities with existing shelter-in-place orders, shared building spaces are closed to ensure adequate social distancing. they cannot guarantee access to any shared building amenities at this time, and our prices are updated to reflect this.

Do your homes have a washer/dryer?

Most homes have a washer/dryer, and this will be noted under the "Amenities" section on the home's page.

What if my company is signing the lease and/or paying?

Many companies choose to pay or sign the lease. They recommend that a representative from your company book on behalf of any travelers. 

My company is paying for me, how should payment be submitted?

They recommend that a representative from your company set up a Accommodation account and book on your behalf. Your company should be named on the lease and you can be added as a guest.
