They do not check your credit history. The main factors to be accepted into the community are honesty and transparency, the purpose of your trip, and a clean criminal background record.

Do you have any alternatives for a security deposit?

Yes,they do have a Deposit Free Living Program to help offset the up-front cost to rent and you dont need to freeze the big amount while you are living at here.

What type of payment do you accept?

They accept all major credit and debit cards, including American Express, PayPal, and ACH Payment via Bank Transfer for the first months and deposit. Starting the second month they ask that you switch to ACH Payment via Bank Transfer as a default payment method. You still can request payment with your credit card or PayPal, but a convenience fee of 4% will be added to your invoice.
