If 5- 8 months are left in the lease (after the 60-day notice), the equivalent of 2 months’ rent is due as a lease break fee. If 9 or more months are left in the lease (after the 60-day notice), then the equivalent of 3 months’ rent is due as a lease break fee. The lease break fee is due by or on the date that keys are turned in. If this is not paid, lessee will be held responsible for the rest of the lease term.
