Sterling Heights is a beautiful student accommodation in San Antonio, featuring four and two-bedroom apartments. The University of Texas at San Antonio is a 6-minute walk and UTSA College of Education and Human Development is a 6-minute drive from the accommodation making it the perfect residence.

Features

Each of the rooms is fully furnished and comes with a private bathroom and balcony, and a walk-in closet. The living room has a television mounted on the wall and the shared kitchen is well-equipped with everything that is required to make a meal. The accommodation has a gym where one can get a quick workout done before the classes and a study cafe and private study area where the students could complete their assignments and prepare for their exams. You could also call your friends to meet them at the poolside which has an outdoor kitchen and BBQ Grills or the clubhouse.

Location and What's Hot?

Centrally located, it has a lot of pharmacies, superstores and restaurants, making living a life their easy. J. Alexander's Restaurant and Yard House are just around the corner and serve amazing food. With Target Grocery and Super Kosher being a short drive makes life here easy and convenient. The CVS Pharmacy and UTSA Bookstore ATM are nearby which make sure that you always have easy access to medicines and cash in case of emergencies. For weekends, one could take a short trip to the Friedrich Wilderness Park or Andretti Indoor Karting and Games – San Antonio.

Commute

The accommodation is extremely accessible as the La Cantera & Loop 1604 w Access R is just a 6-minute walk away and John Peace & Loop 1604 E Access R bus stop is just a 7 minutes walk. The San Antonio train station is a short drive from where you can board a train to travel across the country.

Where do I park?

Our parking garage will be open for everyone to use July 31st- August 2nd during office hours (9AM-5PM). If you do not have parking sticker, they ask that you park on the 7th floor of the parking garage during this time frame. Please note that numbered parking spots are for reserved parking only. Towing will resume starting August 2nd at noon.

What if I have more than one vehicle with me?

Every resident will be allowed 2 vehicles in the garage; however, no trailers are allowed in parking garage, including U-Hauls/Moving Vans. Any extra vehicles or vehicles with trailers will be directed to park on Seco Creek (behind the parking garage) or Market Hill Blvd. (to the right of the parking garage on the side of the street opposite of Sterling Heights.

When is the EARLIEST I can move in?

Your move in day can be found on your lease agreement, and everyone doesn’t have the same day. You can find which move in date you are assigned on your resident portal and clicking on the “documents” tab. From the documents tab you will see every document you have signed with us, including your lease where you will find this information. Official communication will be sent out in the coming weeks with specific move-in times, room assignments, roommate information, etc.

How do I find my unit?

They will have site maps available at the check in desk, and you can also view our site map on our website under our floorplans tab. Our team will also do our best to point you in the right direction, and if you still need help, they will have people to assist.

What do I do if I have a maintenance request?

Please submit a request through your online resident portal. During move in, our maintenance team will only perform emergency work orders.

I need my TV mounted, what do I do?

Unfortunately, they will not be mounting TVs. It will be the residents responsibility.

Which room am I in?

Official communication will be sent out in the coming weeks with specific move-in times, room assignments, roommate information, etc.

How do I acquire Renters Insurance?

At Sterling Heights, you are required to provide proof of renters insurance at move in, or to participate in our liability waiver program. This program is only $13.95 per month, and you will automatically be opted in, unless you provide proof of your own renter’s insurance policy. The liability waiver program is not a renters insurance policy, and personal property will not be covered. If you choose to provide your own renters insurance, you must have at least 100k in personal liability insurance and upload the coverage plan to your resident portal or email it to the office.

Pool Hours and Rules?

They do not permit any glass containers or animals in the pool area. Service animals are the only exception to this rule. It is a liability if a glass container breaks and injures another resident, or if an animal pollutes the pool. Our number one priority is our resident’s safety, so please ensure that you are following the pool rules accordingly and safely for all to enjoy. Our pool hours are from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm every day.

Valet Waste Procedures on Move-in day?

On move-in day any trash that DOESN’T fit in your unit’s trash can, will need to be taken to one of the trash rooms (located in the garage) or dumpsters they will have placed in front of the property during move-in days. Instructions on how to prep your recyclables for pick-up will be included in your move-in packet (will be sent via e-mail only).

Who Do I Reach Out to With Concerns?

Any staff will be more than happy to assist you with anything you need. 

How do I retrieve my mailbox key?

Your mailbox key will be available for pick-up from the office during office hours once you have completed and submitted the virtual “Move-in/Move-Out Inventory & Condition form.

What is the height of the parking garage?

The parking garage is 7ft and 2in tall. 

Do you have elevators?

Sterling Heights will have 3 elevators throughout the community for our residents and guests!

What is the average bedroom size?

While all floor plans vary in size, our average bedroom size is 10ft x 11ft. Please call the office to inquire about your specific floor plan.

What is the difference between the Terrace and Penthouse residences?

While all of our floor plans will feature modern finishes, our penthouse residences are for those who want an upgraded experience. The penthouse features include: guaranteed placement on the 5th floor, upgraded kitchen and bathroom finishes, kitchen backsplash and living room accent, personal mini fridge in each bedroom, and exclusive resident events and offers.

What is included in the furniture package?

In the common areas, they include a modern sofa, lounge chair, coffee table, end table, Smart TV, and barstools. In your private bedroom, they include a full-sized memory foam mattress with bedframe, stackable dresser drawers, desk, and desk chair.

What are the parking options?

Garage parking is available for Residents of Sterling Heights. Please contact the leasing team for further details. Sterling will also offer guest parking. Guest parking can be limited and it is first come, first serve.

How does Valet Waste work?

Valet Waste is an additional amenity that Sterling Heights is able to offer to our residents. You will be provided a waste bin that you will set out during an allotted time frame for a representative to pick up each night. You will no longer need to argue with your roommates who is going to take out the trash.

Are the amenities open 24/7?

All of our amenities except our pool deck will be open 24/7. they understand that college students are busy during the day so you will be able to enjoy our state-of-the-art fitness center, study café, and more whenever your schedule allows!

What is your pet policy?
