New York City Comes On Top As The Best Destination For International Students

As recent reports suggest, New York City has come on top as one of the best and favoured destinations for international students. A commercial real estate company, CommercialSearch, conducted a study to analyse cities in the U.S. where the top 250 universities are located. The research included cities like New York City, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. and many more, which are considered some of the best cities and places for international students to study in the U.S. 

The research included statistics which reported nearly 13,500 international students enrolled in universities which are located in New York City. The Big Apple is also popular for attracting the highest number of students for undergraduate study from all over the world. New York City also ranked on top because it provides the best facilities and services, which are designed according to the needs of students. 

As we look at the western coast of the US, Los Angeles has around 6800 international students in the fall semester for undergraduate studies. Los Angeles secured the second spot on the list, which also provides facilities for student support services. Los Angeles also secured the sort for providing academic programes and research opportunities for students. 

Statistics have again proven that China and India have stuck on the top for being the source countries for international students in the U.S. There are 289,526 and 268,923 Chinese and Indian students, respectively. However, Indian students have overtaken Chinese students, with students being in 24 U.S. states, which include Texas. 

As Texas comes into play, cities such as Houston, Dallas and Austin rank among the top six student cities in the U.S., where students can have a comfortable budget-friendly living and a high-quality education and academic experience at affordable rates. Cities like Houston, Fort Worth, and Austin have shown a cost effective college experience with having a low food price index, rent and transportation ticket prices. 

The official figures also showed that the U.S. hosted more than one million international students from more than 210 international countries.
