Offsite Solutions grabs million-pound deal for a student accommodation building in Somerset
UK News
The bathroom manufacturer giant based out of Highbridge, Offsite-Solutions, has got its hand on a new project worth £2.4m. As per the latest student accommodation news, this Somerset manufacturing firm is all set to kick start its latest project of manufacturing 761 ready-assembled shower rooms. These shower rooms are built for a 20-storey student accommodation development at Wembley Park.
The project is expected to be completed by Spring 2024 at the company’s factory in Isleport Business Park. As per James Stephens, MD at Offsite Solutions, “We are very pleased to be working on our first scheme for Greystar, which has an impressive portfolio of 120,000 student beds globally. We have a long track record of providing high-quality, low-maintenance bathrooms to developers and contractors in the student sector. There is a clear under-supply in student homes across the UK, and demand continues to outstrip supply, particularly in London.”
This is the second agreement between Offsite Solutions and the main contractor, McAleer & Rushe, for the production of shower pods. Previously, Offsite has successfully delivered 750 pod orders worth £1.7m for a major student accommodation development at the University of West England’s (UWE) Frenchay campus in Bristol.
Furthermore, Offsite has shown a record of receiving orders for pods in 2022 when it successfully delivered 1000 pods. It was a project for a £200m student accommodation and regeneration scheme for the University of Leicester. At the same time, the firm has received an order to make 10,000 pods and has secured new contracts worth £40m.
This latest student accommodation news will definitely make the stay of the students more comfortable and flexible. We are looking forward to how it will bring a positive change for students.
