Universities have collectively made 1.3 million offers, with 333,460 applicants, around 99% of those who applied by the January equal consideration date (ECD) are holding at least one offer. The total number of applicants reached 695,740, up from 665,070 last year signalling a 4.6% increase.
The increase reflects growing demand for UK higher education, supported by a larger population of 18-year-olds and continued interest in pursuing university degrees. It also means more students are entering the summer results period with a confirmed pathway to UK higher education.
Growing Demand Opens More Doors for Students
The latest UK university admission cycle shows encouraging progress for students from different backgrounds. UCAS reported that application numbers have grown across the UK, including among students from disadvantaged communities.
