UK University Announces £10,000 Scholarship for DPS Students

The latest UK news reveals the surprise from the University of Sheffield for Indian students looking forward to continuing their higher studies. The students of the Delhi Public School Institution will be eligible for the beneficiaries' whooping 10,000 pounds University of Sheffield scholarship. The award, valued at £10,000, will be granted through a reduction in tuition fees for eligible candidates. The opportunity is a rare one from any top-ranking university’s end for international students. The eligible candidates will be able to commence their undergraduate programme in the Autumn of 2024. The students taking up any undergraduate program are eligible. However, students opting for Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200) are not eligible to apply. The results are supposed to be declared a few months later before the commencement of the session.

The latest news points towards many criteria that are put forth for the eligibility of the candidates for the University of Sheffield’s scholarship. The candidates who are studying in an NCUK (Northern Consortium United Kingdom) centre will be able to apply for the reward. The students who are willing to join classes in any of the first or second years of their degree are allowed to compete for the scholarship. Apart from being one of the most rewarding University of Sheffield scholarships in 2023, the grant is a gesture to support the dreams of the young India. According to the eligibility criteria, the students must show proof of income which supports their stay in the UK as the scholarship will be covering the tuition fee only. 

The Scholarship doesn’t allow candidates to study in courses involving any partner institution. The candidates applying for March 2024 intakes will not be eligible, too, as the March session is considered a postgraduate programme.

The deadline for the application is 22nd April 2024, and the results are to be released by 15th of May, 2024.
