Student Travel Berlin

Any type of transportation you can think of is likely to exist in this city. It is one of the best-linked cities in the world because of underground subways, trains, trams, e-scooters, and other transportation options.

1. Trains

U Bahn - The U-Bahn is a landmark of the city and, by far, the most acceptable method to travel about, with trains running every 5–10 minutes during the day. This network of ten separate lines, 173 stations, and 91 miles (146 km) of track connects nearly every part of the city and is simple to board practically anywhere. East-west connections are best made on the U1 and U2 lines, while partygoers prefer the U8 at night.

2. Buses and Trams - Not only do buses and city trams get you to the city's outer areas, but they also provide you with a fresh perspective of the city. While buses cover every square mile of the city, trams mainly operate in the old Eastern areas. Some buses and trams run 24/7 and won't let you down, although they are not as efficient as the U-Bahn due to traffic during rush hours.

3. Cycling - Cycling in the city centre is affordable, ecologically sound, and, in many situations, faster than any other mode of transit, making it the favourite method of transportation among young citizens. With 620 km of cycling pathways spread across the city, you can expect to see both commuters and tourists touring the area on bicycles on any given day. Bike or e-bike sharing is arguably the best choice when weighing cost and flexibility, even though renting a bike for the day is relatively simple at hostels, hotels, and rental shops.
