Who will I be allocated with?

They try their utmost to allocate likeminded students together (eg based on year of study).  Single-sex apartments are also available. However, this is subject to the type of rooms booked by the students and may not always be possible.

Can I request a room move if I do not get along with the people I am sharing with?

They will always first try to establish if there is anything that can be done to help you and your housemates to live in harmony without anyone moving room. However, move requests will be accommodated whenever possible, subject to availability and a cleaning/admin charge.

When is my rent due?

To allow you to avoid paying one big lump sum and to co-inside with student loan payments, rent is collected in instalments at different times of the year depending on the property you are living in. Please review your license agreement which clearly details rent due dates for your property.  Full details are available on request from your chosen property.

When are my first payments due?

In order to secure your booking, the deposit is payable at the time of signing tenancy agreement.

What if I do not pay the initial payment within 7 days?

If you do not pay the booking deposit within 7 days any room being held will be automatically released. Do contact us as soon as possible in order to avoid the room being released to someone else.

Are the rates negotiable?

Rates are set to offer the students the best possible value and unfortunately cannot be negotiated.

What is the cancellation policy?

They apply a 14 day ‘cooling off period’ to bookings during which time all monies paid are refundable. Please refer to your tenancy agreement or the sample agreement on the website for your specific property for cancelation details in relation to your booking.

What if I leave early?

If you decide to leave early you remain responsible for the rent for the duration for your tenancy. However, if you are able to find a suitable replacement for your room, then the tenancy will be cancelled. In line with your tenancy agreement refunds will only be given when a suitable replacement is found.

Are there Laundry facilities?

Please check your specific property for details. In some locations the apartments have their own washing machine however in general each property has an on-site self-service laundrette (usage charges apply).

Yes, they will sign for them and keep them at reception for you to collect.

No, students will be expected to maintain the cleanliness of the shared facilities and their own bedroom. If however you would like to have your apartment cleaned for you it may be possible to arrange this for an additional charge

What do I do if something is not working in my apartment?

The on-site maintenance team will try to resolve any issues you raise with us on the same day as you log the issue with us. All issues must be logged via our student portal. Where they need to arrange parts and the issue cannot be resolved that day they will keep you informed at all times as to what the likely timescales are.

Can I have pets?

How can I get to the city centre?

There are public transport options on your doorstep and the city centre is also within walking and cycling distance.  Your welcome pack will provide full details.

What are resident co-ordinators?

Resident co-ordinators are students just like you who live here but are employed by us for a small number of hours each week to help us support residents. Being a resident co-ordinator involves reception duties and assisting with the busy events programme.

How do I become a resident co-ordinator?

Email your CV and covering letter to the Accommodation Manager and they will be in touch with further information.

Am I allowed overnight guests?

Yes, please register overnight guests in advance. Length of stay restrictions are in place and some terms and conditions apply.

Will my apartment be inspected?

Yes, inspections will be carried out in each apartment a number of times during your stay and any damages or cleanliness issues will be addressed by the management team. Additional charges may be incurred for damages and/or cleaning services.

Is there a curfew?

No, students may come and go as they please. However, they must carry their student ID with them for verification purposes.

Until what time can a visitor stay?

Visitors can stay until 11pm, unless they have been registered as an overnight guest.

Can I have friends stay over?

Yes, but for health and safety reasons requests for overnight guests must be submitted to reception. As your apartment is shared with other residents and to ensure peaceful living for all it is intended that this policy operates on a ‘fair use’ basis.

Is the property safe?

The property is staffed 24/7 and is fitted with CCTV surveillance systems. All bedrooms contain their own locking system. During the hours of darkness, the entrance is locked, and access is only available to registered student ID holders.
