How long can I stay with you?

The maximum rental duration is restricted to the length of the standard study period. I am a minor. Can I book with you?

Sure, even if you are not yet 18 years of age, you can still rent an apartment with them. After entering your personal data, the system automatically recognizes your age. If you are underage, the data of a parent or legal guardian is also required. After successful entry, your parent/guardian will receive an automatic email asking them to sign the rental contract as well. Once these steps are complete, you can easily finalize your booking.

Can I book an apartment as a professional?

Yes, there are several ways to book an apartment in their property residences. Their residences are primarily intended for student living and people in education. Students and individuals in education always have priority when allocating apartments. To book with them, students must provide valid proof of enrolment at a recognized educational institution, such as a university, college, vocational school, language school or training centre. In exceptional cases only, and solely if an apartment cannot be allocated to a student due to insufficient student demand, a unit may be rented on a temporary and fixed term basis to a young professional. In such cases, proof of employment must be provided. These rentals are limited in time and do not change the student-focused nature of the residence. Permanent or unrestricted rentals to non-students are not possible.

What is the general broadcasting fee (GEZ)?

The broadcasting fee, also known as "GEZ-fee", must be paid by every tenant in Germany. It is the fee that is incurred for the use of public broadcasting. The broadcasting fee is not included in the all-inclusive rent and is also not payable to the property itself.

Is there a pick-up service (e.g., from the railway station) on my check-in day?

How do I move into my apartment?

Their local property team will arrange a move-in date with you which you can easily book online and thus choose your suitable time slot. They will share a link with you as soon as they have received all of your payments (service fee, deposit, first month's rent). Every citizen must register at their place of residence. This is required by law and must be done within the first 14 days of moving into the apartment (not after signing the lease). You can register your new residence at any residents' registration office - regardless of the district of residence.

What do I need to consider before moving out?

Their team will make an appointment with you for check-out. You will be contacted at least two weeks before you move out to arrange a preliminary inspection of your apartment to check the condition of your room together with you. Latest possible check-out time is 12 o'clock on the last day of your lease agreement.

How and when do I get my deposit back after I moved out?
