Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Community Assistant?

A community assistant is an office staff member dedicated to helping residents, future residents, and parents. They also function as property representatives in everything from completing inspections to hanging notices and participating in our resident events.

Free parking is available for all residents, but Town Lake also offers both carports and garages to residents for a monthly premium.

What does it mean to have an individual dorm housing contract?

Individual leasing means that each person is only responsible for their portion of the unit lease or bed space. If your roommate ends up not coming back for the spring semester, youre not responsible for their payment.

What is included in the rent?

Your rent includes cable, internet, water & trash pickup. You will also have access to our amenities, which include: free use of our tanning beds, DVD rentals, touch-screen computers in lab, updated gym equipment and 24-hour game room, as well as our dual-level pool, volleyball, basketball courts and dog Park

Do you have a roommate matching system?

Yes. While Town Lake can never guarantee a "perfect match," all residents fill out a profile to help us put together the likeliest compatible matches. Remember; the sooner you sign your lease and the more thoroughly you fill out your profile, the more options you have and the better chance of us finding someone that works well with you.

Is there insurance coverage in the event of a fire, theft or natural causes? Does my lease provide coverage for my belongings?

The only way to be released from your contract without penalty mid-lease term is to find a resident replacement.
