Cooling Off Period

A cooling-off period applies after payment of the holding deposit. All booking cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to The Mysa House leasing team. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. To request a refund of any amounts paid, including the holding deposit, a completed Refund Form must be submitted. Approved refunds will be processed by bank transfer, or another method determined by The Mysa House, within the timeframe required by applicable law in New South Wales or, where no specific timeframe is prescribed, within a reasonable p

Early termination by students

The required notice period for vacating the property is 4 weeks. The resident must submit their notice via email, clearly stating the intended move-out date. Once the notice has been received and processed, a confirmation email will be sent along with further information and guidance regarding the check-out process.

Booking Deposit

A holding deposit equivalent to two weeks' rent is required at the time of booking to reserve a room. The holding deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled during the cooling-off period. The holding deposit is applied towards the first rent instalment once the residential tenancy agreement is executed. If the booking is cancelled after the cooling-off period, or the residential tenancy agreement is not signed within the required timeframe, the holding deposit is forfeited.
