Cancellation Policies

Cooling Off Period

A cooling-off period applies after payment of the holding deposit. The cooling-off period expires on the earlier of: The commencement date of the residential tenancy agreement; or 48 hours after payment of the holding deposit. During the cooling-off period, you may cancel your booking by notifying The Mysa House in writing. Early termination by students

Once the residential tenancy agreement has been executed or has commenced, separate terms apply to any cancellation or early termination. Where a tenant has executed an Occupancy Agreement but has not yet taken possession of the room, they may withdraw from the agreement, subject to forfeiture of one week's bond as a cancellation fee.

Other cancellation policies

All booking cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to The Mysa House leasing team. Verbal cancellations will not be accepted. To request a refund of any amounts paid, including the holding deposit, a completed Refund Form must be submitted. Approved refunds will be processed by bank transfer, or another method determined by The Mysa House, within the timeframe required by applicable law in New South Wales or, where no specific timeframe is prescribed, within a reasonable p

Payment and Fees

Booking Deposit

A holding deposit equivalent to two weeks' rent is required at the time of booking to reserve a room. The holding deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled during the cooling-off period. The holding deposit is applied towards the first rent instalment once the residential tenancy agreement is executed. If the booking is cancelled after the cooling-off period, or the residential tenancy agreement is not signed within the required timeframe, the holding deposit is forfeited.

Security Deposit

A bond equivalent to four weeks' rent is required.

Rent is paid fortnightly. Payments begin from the contract start date.
