Frequently Asked Questions

What is coliving?

Coliving is roommate and city living made easy. Instead of scouring Craigslist for roommates, spending your savings on new furniture, and arguing over splitting the bills, you’ll move into a private bedroom in a fully-furnished, all-inclusive shared apartment.

What’s included with coliving? What should I bring when I move in?

As a PMG’s coliving member, your rent includes a full-sized bed-frame, nightstand, lamp, clothes storages, and hangers. In your shared suite you’ll find a fully-furnished living room and dining area, with appliances, cutlery, and household essentials including toilet paper, dish washing soap, sponges, and laundry detergent. Alongside your personal items, we recommend bringing bed and bathroom linens alongside any personal decor. We do not allow members to bring in extra furniture. Coliving offerings may differ depending on your home. Please ask your leasing specialist for a full list of what’s included.

What is included in non-coliving apartments?

As a PMG’s member in a traditional apartment, you’ll have access to convenient amenities, people-first property services, PMG’s built-in community, events, and discounts to local and national brands. Unless stated otherwise, our traditional apartments are unfurnished and not all-inclusive of utilities, WiFi, etc.

Is parking available?

Parking availability is dependent on each home! If a building has a parking garage or lot, you’ll see a Parking icon on our website. Please ask your leasing specialist about available spaces.

Can I pick my roommates in my coliving suite?

If you and a friend would like to live in the same coliving suite together, we’re happy to accommodate your request given that you both qualify and there is availability in the suite. However, due to Fair Housing Laws, we can’t allow members to pick roommates based on factors like gender, religion etc. For example, that means we can’t guarantee you will have an all female suite.

Can I share a room with a friend?

PMG’s offers rooms with queen-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms at select homes for couples who are looking to live together in a coliving suite. We do not allow members to bring additional furniture.

What happens if I don’t get along with my roommates?

Coliving at PMG is designed to reduce the typical arguments and tensions that come with roommate living, like splitting the bills, buying essentials like toilet paper, and choosing furniture. We do ask that members be respectful of one another and their home, and perform chores like taking out the trash, filling the dishwasher, and maintaining a livable space. However, as a property manager, it’s not within PMG’s power to enforce those behaviors. If your roommate is in violation of their lease, please reach out to our Member Support team. In such cases, we may be able to transfer you to another unit or home.

Can I have a private bathroom?

Select coliving bedrooms offer ensuite bathrooms. Please ask your leasing specialist for more details on availability.

Are pets allowed?

While PMG love animals, we only allow pets at our private studio and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. In our coliving suites, pets may be allowed as an accommodation for tenants with a qualified disability.

Are community events free?

Yes! All community events are free. Some events are limited to a certain number of people.

What is Philadelphia known for?

They don’t call Philadelphia The Birthplace of America for nothing—it all started right here when the Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. As the nation’s former capital, Philly is bursting at the seams with more than 300 years of history, and as residents, you’ll see signs of times gone by around every corner. But Philadelphia isn’t stuck in the past; the city still bursts into life every January 1 with the colorful Mummers parade and every day thanks to hundreds of vibrant murals.

What are some local attractions to see in Philadelphia?

Philly is a diverse city full of culture and history, and coliving here presents all sorts of opportunities, communal space, and common areas to explore. Whether you’re a group of residents, a visitor or a longtime local, some of Philadelphia’s must-sees include the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, and Reading Terminal Market. For some more modern icons, there’s the bright blue and red LOVE statue and the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (made famous by the movie Rocky).

What are some fun things to do in Philadelphia?

Sports fans will love supporting the local NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL teams, while a trip to LEGOLAND is sure to satisfy your inner child. For a quirkier outing, try Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, a massive walkable mosaic with photo ops every ten feet. And when your stomach starts rumbling, you can line up at Pat’s King of Steaks—the alleged birthplace of the Philly cheesesteak—to sample a historic sandwich.
