Students will be able to cancel for free and get a full refund if not be able to attend the University due to travel or university restrictions. Most of the properties are providing the following cancellation policies.

No Visa No Pay: If a student's visa application is rejected or if the UK university application is rejected, the full amount will be refunded.

Visa processing delay: Full refund will be given if a student cannot get a visa on time to come to the UK.

University / School intake delayed: If the start date of a course has been postponed to a later date, the student can provide evidence showing the new start date, the property will extend the contract start date.

Travel Ban: Full refund will be given if there is a travel ban either in the student's country of origin or in the UK, preventing students from travelling as planned.

Here are the most common questions answered by Amber for the students who are going to the university 2020/2021 and are planning to book accommodation, and are worried because of the COVID-19 impact.

What should I do if I have booked a room already and unable to move in because of the COVID-19 crisis?

If you aren't able to travel because of government restrictions, then please let us know. In case, you have already paid your tenancy amount or instalments but yet to move into your room then your remaining accommodation fees will be returned on a case by case basis. Most properties will give you full refund.

Is it possible for me to book my student accommodation as I am going to University in September?

As mentioned above, we have updated cancellation policies ensuring that students book suitable accommodation according to the situation and also be free to cancel and get a 100% refund if there are any issues with attending the University in September. Feel free to contact our booking executives to give you information on the coronavirus policy of any property. Many properties listed on our website offer a No Place, No Pay and No Visa, No Fee policy which means if you are unable to get a visa to come to the UK or in case you don't get a place at your University for some reason. You will get the full refund as well as free cancellation.

How can I see the properties if I can’t view them?

Do need not worry about this at all! You have the option of viewing the properties remotely. But this option varies from property to property. Also, you can check the pictures available on our website which showcases all the necessary features of the property such as aspects of the room, communal spaces and exteriors. You can also get in touch with our expert team (via email and phone) and they will suggest the best option depending on your queries.

I am in my accommodation already but wish to move out early. Am I going to get any refund?

If you are planning to move out and need guidance on your tenancy agreement rights, please contact us, and we will assist you with all your queries as the refund policies vary from property to property.

I want to reserve my room, but I am worried because of the current COVID-19 situation.

Our booking executive can suggest a suitable option, and you can select and reserve a room by giving a deposit. In case, there are travel bans, university admission delays or visa delay then your deposit will be fully refunded for most of the properties. Most of our properties provide this cancellation option due to current COVID-19 situation.

Can I cancel my student accommodation?

The best option for you is to get in touch with (via email or phone), and your designated booking manager will provide you updates on all the recent information on cancellation policies of student accommodation providers around Coronavirus provided to us by the accommodation providers. Since, you have already booked your student accommodation, your legal contract is with your student accommodation provider. Amber held a talk with all the accommodation partners and have asked them to be flexible with their contracts during these circumstances. We will also be more than happy to cancel or change your current bookings move-in dates if there is a possibility.
