Booking Deposit
The reservation fee is equivalent to one week's rent for the selected space and is due immediately upon conclusion of the contract. The reservation fee is credited once towards the rent if a rental agreement is subsequently concluded. A reservation fee of €275 is also stated and is described as being deducted from the first month's rent.
Security Deposit
The security deposit is stated as one to two months' rent and is deposited into a securities account. The customer can pay a deposit equal to two months' rent upfront, which is fully refunded when the customer moves out. The rent and security deposit must be transferred to the bank accounts specified in the agreement before move-in. Both payments are due on the move-in day, with payment recommended at least one week before move-in. Security deposit refunds typically take approximately 12 weeks. The maximum legal period stated for refunding the security deposit is 6 months. No security deposit refund is provided where the deposit was paid monthly through the rentcard deposit insurance policy.
