If the period between booking and the contract start date is less than 14 days, the cooling-off period applies only to the remaining days before the start date. If the student’s visa application for the booking period is refused by the relevant authorities, the agreement may be cancelled and all amounts paid will be refunded, subject to submission of valid refusal documentation.

No Place No Pay

If the student is not admitted to the educational institution in the province for which the booking was made, the agreement may be cancelled. In such cases, all amounts paid will be refunded, subject to proof of enrolment in a different province.

Replacement Tenant Accepted

The agreement may be cancelled if the student finds a suitable replacement tenant who accepts the same contract terms and duration until the end date, has not held a student housing agreement in the previous academic year, and is not under contract or negotiation for the current academic year. Additional eligibility requirements may apply depending on accommodation type.

Other cancellation policies

If the student does not qualify for cancellation under any other policy, the agreement may still be cancelled subject to a penalty of 50% of the applicable housing fee. The penalty will not be less than one month and not more than three months of the contracted housing fee. The month of departure must be paid in full where applicable.
