777 South State strives to provide all guests with the opportunity to socialize, whether its at one of our events, or in our communal spaces, its never been easier to meet like-minded travelers.

How old do I need to be to book a room?

Guests must be 18 years or older to book with us with the exception of our Dupont Circle Embassy Inn by location where guests must be 21 and older to book. For security reasons, A valid ID will need to be shown at check-in.

Do you offer Wifi?

Yes! All of  locations are equipped with High-Speed Wifi.

What does a shared room mean?

Shared rooms are dormitory-style rooms with bunk beds. Guests will each get their own bunk as well as locker storage to store personal belongings. Be sure to bring a lock with you to use with your locker. Locks can also be purchased from the guide stand if needed.

What does a private room mean?

Private rooms include a private bedroom and bathroom ensuite.

Will my room have a bathroom?

Yes, all rooms (private and shared) have their own bathroom.

Where do I park?

There are parking lots and garages nearby as well as street parking where available. Prices vary. Due to the nature of the cities we are in, we do not have valet or onsite parking.

Do you have a big lobby where I can meet or work?

Hotels feature versatile communal workspaces and high-speed wifi for all your business needs.

How do your communal kitchens work?

Guests are welcome to cook or store food in our communal kitchens. Our kitchens come equipped with pots, pans, utensils, and other cooking supplies for your convenience. They just have a few Kitchen Rules: -Please keep all dishes in the Communal Kitchen -Dispose of all food before putting dishes into the sink. -Wash all dishes and clean up after yourself, including the stove and microwave, all guests will thank you! -Label all food stored in the fridge/freezer or dry storage with your name and checkout date (ex. John Z., 1/15)

I am going to be a Guarantor for one of the applicants; will I have to pay the $43.50 fee as well?

Yes, they run a screening on every applicant, both guarantors and occupants. These are separate screenings for each person.

Does my daughter/son need to apply if I already put in an application for myself?

Yes, if they are 18 years of age or older. This allows us to run the screening required for approval on their lease.

I’m an international traveler, expat, or foreign student. Can I still be approved?

Yes, prospective renters with no US credit score are eligible for lease coverage.  If you are an international student, you'll most likely need a Responsible Party to apply. A Responsible Party is a well-qualified associated guarantor that makes 3 times the monthly rent in total annual income. This individual does not need to be in the US, and their income and liquid assets do not need to be in US dollars.

The person I am guaranteeing for does not have credit. Do you still need to screen them?

To be fair, firm, and consistent they run the same screening on everyone the age of 18+ who applies to live. If you are going to be an occupant or guarantor of one of our homes, they will run a screening that may include credit and rental background.

What are the minimum Guarantor requirements that would typically be accepted?

If you have a FICO score, the minimum score is 630, and if employed, the minimum total annual income accepted is 3 times the monthly rent. Your income can also include liquid assets. Please contact your leasing agent for more details.

Will my daughter/son and I get a separate lease from the others in our group?

No, there is one lease for each home. All applicants will sign the same lease and have joint and several liability. they treat student leases the same as they do any lease.
