Frequently Asked Questions

Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other residents. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Ion offers both per-person and per-apartment contracts. Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at Ion can elect their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom, under which you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. With an individual contract, even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom. Click here to see a sample Housing Agreement.

What is included in the rate?

Each resident at Ion pays a flat rate plus a $99 Utility/Amenity fee that includes:

  • High-speed Internet
  • Water/sewer
  • Electricity
  • Heat/AC
  • Trash removal
  • On-site laundry
  • Furnishings
  • Amenities — (fitness center, etc.)

What size are the apartments?

When do the contracts start and end?

Ion offers both a 12 installment option and various alternate contract term lengths of 3, 6 and 10 installments. Please contact our staff for details.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

Within 7 days after a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to do one of two things: provide a qualifying guarantor (often a parent), or pre-pay the final 2 installments.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. Ion also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at Ion?

Your living costs at Ion can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at Ion. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Are the apartments furnished?

Yes, all apartments at Ion have a furniture package that includes a full size bed, wardrobe, desk and chair in each bedroom. Sofa, coffee table, entertainment stand and bar stools in the kitchen. Furniture packages may differ from bedroom to bedroom and unit to unit. To see a sample of the furniture and other finishes, please visit our model residences.

Is Ion open to non-students?

What kind of safety and security are provided?

Ion has fire sprinklers, and electronic locks plus individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols are provided at select times. Management staff are also on-site 24×7 and can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.
