What do I do if something isn’t working in my apartment/flat?

If you have any maintenance issues, you can simply log into the portal and select the "maintenance" option at the top. Once you've done that, then log in your issue and give as much detail as possible.

Can I speak with someone from property if I have a personal problem?

Their friendly teams are always happy to lend an ear. Before talking to the team, they’d advise you contact the Mental Health support team first or your University support team since they may be able to offer you advice. If you would like to speak with the Accommodation Manager or receive more info about the Mental Health Support, you’re welcome to book an appointment.

Do you have CCTV?

Yes, there is CCTV in the common areas.

Which documents do I need to check in?

You will need to bring a valid identity document and a certificate confirming the enrollment in the course of study.

How to do the “empadronamiento”?

They will give you the registration form required by the city council, in order to help you with it. It is important that you ask for an appointment through the website since they do not let you attend without prior appointment.

Do you accept pets?

They love animals! But unfortunately, they are not allowed in the residence.

Can parcels and supermarket deliveries be sent to the residence?

No problem, all parcels will be stored at the reception and they will notify you as soon as you arrive. If a supermarket order arrives, it is important that you are in the residence since you need to come to reception to pick it up; for security reasons the service company cannot access the building.

Are there curfews on when I can leave and return to the residence?

With your access key, you can enter or exit when you need it.

Who cleans the communal areas?

The property team will take care of that, but please respect these living areas, as they’re proud of what they’ve done with them.

Where can I smoke?

Their buildings and grounds are strictly non-smoking but you’re welcome to smoke outside of the building at least 5 metres away from doors and windows.

Will I be sharing a room?

All their accommodation are only for single occupancy. They are happy to accept Dual occupancy requests only for apartments and twin rooms.

Who is responsible for cleaning my studio?

Even if they provide a soft cleaning (included linen and towel changes), that’s down to you – you can bring your rubbish/recycling to the bin store, and all collections are included in your rent.

Can I sublet my room to another student?

It is not possible (please check your contract).

Who is responsible for a guest while they’re on the premises?

You are responsible for your guest. They must be signed in/out and follow all property regulations while on the property.

Can I receive visitors or have overnight guests?

Of course! Students can have a maximum of one visitor at a time until 19:00, even so, can only use the following common areas: lobby, outdoor common areas, cafeteria and your room. Unfortunately, and in order to have a better management of the building, areas such as gym, multimedia rooms, pool area, or shared kitchens, are limited to the use of residents only. If your stay in the residence is an Academic year or Semester, you are allowed to have overnight guests. However, in order to comply with safety regulations, only Studio/Studio Premium/Studio Superior room types can have overnight visitors. If your reservation is for a double or Ensuite room, unfortunately it would not be possible to apply the overnight guest policy. You can have overnight visitors for a maximum of 3 consecutive nights and up to 7 nights per month. Can I talk to someone apart if I have a personal problem? They are at your disposal for what you may need, a talk, advice or any questions they can solve; they will be happy to get to know you better and help you. However, remember that, in addition to their help, you can also request the support of more competent professionals in this field who can help and support you, such as the Office responsible for your University or their Mental Health Partner.

Do I have to be a student to rent a room?

No it's not necessary.

What is the payments schedule and will I need to pay a deposit?

As this is a Summer stay, you will need to make a full payment upfront, before you arrive at the residence. Your booking is not complete until payment is made and until payment is made the room is not secured. Summer stays do not require a deposit payment.

Will anyone be at reception to meet me?

Their receptions are staffed 24 hours a day. However, if you are planning to arrive at the weekend or out of office hours (normal office hours are 9am– 6pm) it is best to either phone ahead or email first ahead of your arrival. If the reception is closed when you arrive it is most likely as the team member is helping another resident. In this case you should press the buzzer and call the security number for assistance.

Can I leave early?

Yes, you are free to leave when you like. Please let their team’s know when you are planning on checking out. Remember that as per the cancellation policy, they cannot return the amount paid.

Will my property have Wi-Fi?

Indeed, it will. With their standard package, you will get free high-speed WiFi connection throughout the property, including bedrooms that have a wired connection. You can connect up to 3 devices, so it's perfect for browsing Instagram, watching your favourite Netflix series and studying of course!. The Internet is provided by their reliable partner, Ask4 and they give you the option to upgrade your package for a small fee if you need extra speed for those gaming nights. Please speak to your residence team for further information. Speeds over WiFi may vary depending on several factors, such as the type of device you use and where you are when you’re trying to connect. The average attainable speed  at peak times (8 pm – 10 pm ) is 80% of the internet access speed.

Can I personalise my room?

Absolutely! They want you to be as comfortable as possible, so turn your room into a space you love to live in. Just make sure its returned to them the way you found it upon checkout. If not, damage charges will apply.

How do the laundry facilities work?

The laundry service is super easy to use, there is a dedicated area and it's a paid service! All the instructions you need will be supplied at the check in.

There is! You’ll find plenty of secure bike storage available for you to use throughout your time, book your place!

Can I park my car?

Yes, they have their own parking for motorcycles, cars and bicycles. For more information on rates and availability, please contact the reception.

Where do I find the nearest public transport?

Just a 5 minute walk away you will find the metro line L4 with where you can change, not only to other metro lines, but also Renfe and FGC. Within the same proximity you have the Tram and bus stops that can take you to any part of the city.

Do I need to have a guarantor?

It's not necessary but in the agreement it's mandatory to add a reference person they are authotize to contact in case of emergency cases or payment delay.

Do I have to pay the city tax?

No.

Do you refund the deposit at the end of the stay?

At the end of your stay, after checking the condition of the room, unless any damage is found, they will credit the deposit.

How does the Register Interest form work?

If you have submitted the register interest form, they will contact you as soon as they open reservations.

Do I have to be a student to live here?

That's right, you must be a student enrolled in an academic course. Also, you must be at least 17 years old. If you are a minor, they will ask for a written authorization from your parents or your guardian.

Can I arrange to live with my friends?

Yep, they want you to be as comfortable as possible when you’re with them. Just let them know you wish to live with someone when making your booking, they'll do their best (depending on your room type booked). If you don’t know anyone else moving to the residence, don’t worry – most students come on their own and soon make friends once they’re here.

Can I choose what floor I live on?

Yes, you’ll be able to let them know your preference at the time of booking (upon availability). Please consider that your preference is not guarantee 100% until your check in.

How are rooms assigned?

You can check into the room at 16:00 on the day of your check-in. On the day of your check-out you will have to vacate the room by 10:00.
