Next of Kin are able to sign any relevant paperwork.</li> <li>Tenant/licensee involved in a serious incident which results in the tenant/licensee being seriously ill. Proof would be required in the form of a doctor’s letter or accredited medical practitioner. Next of Kin would be allowed to sign any relevant paperwork.</li> <li>Illness of a tenant/licensee, or those presenting with a disability, which necessitates the tenant/licensee leaving their University course and leaving their accommodation to undergo a course of treatment. Proof needs to be provided by a doctor that confirms details of illness, disability or condition. Confirmation from the institution regarding the tenant/licensee leaving their course is also required.</li> <li>Illness/death of immediate next of kin, where there is no-one else in the family able to look after that family member or other dependants (with siblings needing to be under 18 years of age) and which results in the tenant/licensee having to leave their course. Proof would be provided by a doctor’s letter which provides details of illness. Confirmation from the institution regarding the tenant/licensee leaving their course is also needed. In the case of death, a death certificate would be required.</li> <li>A genuinely exceptional circumstance has occurred.</li> </ul>

Can I book if I'm under 18?

Students under the age of 18 must rent a room through a guardian and cannot rent a room on their own. Most underage students choose to stay with a host family or in an accredited student residence. Please contact their property team for more information.

Is it possible to book a room with only a conditional university offer?

Yes, this is what a lot of students do. If you do not get accepted by your chosen University, please contact the property team to discuss what options are available.

Can I choose my room?

They take booking preferences very seriously and take great pride in being able to accommodate these in most cases. There is a preference box on the booking form which allows the student to put any preferences they might have, for example, friends they wish to live with, location of room within the building, same-sex cluster flats. They always do their best to accommodate these preferences, if for whatever reason they can't fulfil them they will always try to achieve one or two and notify the student if they aren't possible.

What provided in the bedroom? Do I need to bring my own bedding?

Facilities and features can vary; typically you are provided with a bed, a study with a desk and a chair, bookshelves, a wardrobe and plenty of storage. Bedding is not provided with each room as most of their students prefer to bring their own, however, you can order bedding and kitchen utensils to be delivered to your room before your move-in.

Do the apartments come with kitchen essentials?

You’ll need to bring your own pots, pans and other kitchen items.

Are there any additional bills I need to pay?

The flat rent includes the following costs: 1. all water, electricity and gas costs, 24-hour hot water costs with no restrictions on use; 2. heating costs for all rooms; 3. wireless internet costs.

Will I have access to Wi-Fi?

Yes, WiFi is included in your rent. Youll also have a broadband connection in your room on your desk.

What items should I bring when moving in?

You can bring most of your belongings but some electricals aren't suitable for their properties.Non-UK compliant electricals such as rice cookers are not suitable for use with UK power outlets and this can cause fire risks.

Is it possible for students to have post and parcels delivered?

Their postal service operates during office hours. They inform students about the postal process upon their arrival. Students should notify staff about any expected recorded or special deliveries. They must provide ID when collecting parcels. While friends may collect parcels, the student must inform the accommodation team in advance. They are not liable for loss, theft, or damage of mail, nor for uncollected deliveries, or packages arriving outside office hours or when staff are absent. Unclaimed mail is returned to the sender after 4 weeks.

Can my luggage be stored if delivered before my arrival?

They will do their best to accomdate this but please discuss with the property team first to make sure this is possible.

What are the arrival times on moving-in day?

This depends on the property you will be living in. You will receive an email with all arrival details on about a month before you arrive, but you can also contact the proeprty team for more information.

Which documents are needed for checking in?

"To check into the apartment, simply present a valid identification document (such as a passport) at the front desk. "

Can I have friends or families stay overnight in my apartment?

They welcome visitors at all locations but please contact the property team prior to find out specific regulations.

Is a staff member always available on-site?

Their office hours are 8am until 8pm Monday to Friday in London and then 9am until 5pm for all other properties. Outside of these hours there is a security guard on-site.

Are social events organised for residents?

Absolutely! They want their community to suit you, so they wont force you to come to their events but you are always welcome. If you have your own suggestions for them even better!

Can I bring my own electrical appliances for cooking?

If there are certain electrical items you want to bring you will need to discuss this with the property team first.

Is smoking permitted in the accommodation?

Smoking is not allowed within the accommodation, however there is a designated smoking area outside the building.

Do you offer an airport pick-up service?

They do not offer airport pick-up, they would advise contacting your school to arrange this.

They are always happy to accommodate groups, when making your application there is a section to add group details. Please make sure everyone in your group puts each other's names in this section so they can place you together.

What if I have difficulties getting along with my new flatmates?

"If you are having any issues please contact the Accommodation team in the first instance, they will do all they can to help. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to move you; however, they would look to resolve any issues with you all."

Can I choose to live with my friends?

You certainly can and they’ll do their best to make sure you get a flat together!All they need you to do it to tell them the name and contact details of the people you want to live with on your online application, and they will need to put your name and contact details on their application. They’ll then link the applications and Voilà – you’re offered a flat together (subject to availability of course).

Can I live in a single sex flat?

If you let them know that is what you want, they will do their best to help. Under-18 accommodation is single sex only.

What items do I need to bring with me?

Bedding, including covers, clothes, shoes and towels. A few home comforts such as photographs and laptop and studying essentials

Are there any items I shouldn’t bring with me?

The kitchen sink. Anything that’s a fire hazard; don’t put yourself or your flat mates in danger. Large items of furniture or equipment will have to stay at home too.

Where do I collect my mail from?

Post will be delivered straight to your flat or your mailbox in reception.

Who is responsible for the cleaning?

They all are! They look after the communal areas and you look after your flat and bedroom.

Can I personalise my room?

Make yourself at home! Use your pin board for putting up posters and photos.

Do I have to pay for my TV licence?

Only if you bring a TV with you or you want to watch live TV or the BBC iPlayer on your device or computer.They’ve got the TVs they provide covered.

Can I connect to the internet in my room?

Yes indeed! They know you couldn’t live without it, and neither can they, so Wi-Fi is available throughout your home.

Can I stay in my room during the holidays?

Your room is yours during the Christmas and Easter holidays and you may be able to stay over the summer too. Get in touch with them to extend your stay.

The left items will be classed as having no re-sale value or no value to justify the cost of sale and will be donated to a local charity or disposed of as waste. 2. If you have left documents such as a passport or birth certificates and you wish them to keep, then you are required to inform them by the above collection date. They will then hold onto these for you until a further agreed date for you.
