Located in Manchester, England, the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) is one of the leading public conservatories in the world which has its history traced back late 19th century. 

Established in the year 1973, the Royal Northern College of Music was born from the merger between the Northern School of Music (which was formed in 1920) and Sir Charles Hallé’s Royal Manchester College of Music (RMCM). Apart from being the centre of music education, RNMC is also one of the UK’s most active and distinct public performance venues. 

In addition to this, the Royal Northern College of Music also holds affiliations in Conservatoires UK, University of Manchester and The Association Board of the Royal Schools of Music. 

Location

Located on the corner of Booth Street West and Oxford Road, the Royal Northern College of Music is just 20-minute walk to the Manchester City Centre. Due to the well-connected transport system, students can easily travel to the college by Car, Train, Bus or Tram. Manchester Oxford Road station is the closest station which is within a mere 15 minutes walking distance to the RNCM. Also, the Manchester Piccadilly station is less than a mile away. Students could either opt for a short bus ride or taxi journey.
