The latest addition to the Nexo Residencias family is named after the Spanish novelist, journalist and playwright Emilia Pardo Bazn. Taking advantage of her aristocratic and noble position to demand a necessary change in the face of educational inequality between men and women, she introduced literary naturalism in Spain and brought, through her work and her actions, the main ideas of feminism of the time.


The Emilia Pardo Bazn Residence has 302 beds and all the necessary comforts so that you feel comfortable and do not lack anything. The Emilia Pardo Bazn Student Residence is tailor-made to meet all your needs and will make your university experience unforgettable.


Residence offers modern rooms, private or shared, with new facilities, excellent services and outdoor areas.

It is strategically located in Ciudad Universitaria, where you can reach any of the Faculties quickly and easily, it is an ideal option to make the most of the university experience. You will have less than 7 minutes on foot, the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), the San Pablo University (CEU) and the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).


You will save time on your travels and you will have plenty of time to study and have fun. In addition, if you want to go to the city center you can do it just a few metro stops since the Emilia Pardo Bazn Student Residence is located near the Vicente Aleixandre and Guzmn el Bueno metro stations, as well as EMT bus stops just 4 minutes on foot. Who can live in the student accomodation?

They need all this documentation before you move into the Emilia Pardo Bazn Student Residence. You can send them scanned by email and bring the originals when you check-in.

What is the contract length?

Emilia Pardo Bazn Student Residence has a minimum stay of 1 academic year (9months), normally from September to the end of June of the following year.

Can I stay in the summer?

Yes, but the contract extension is not automatic and it depends on summer groups. Please, if you want to request a summer stay, do it as soon as possible.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. The academic year fee can be spread into monthly payments by direct debit, but if you make one single annual payment, theyll give you a 5% discount.

Do I get my security deposit back?

Yes. Well, supposing that you dont break anything including the terms of the contract, especially the minimum stay requirement!c

What is included in the price of the residence?

Full-board pensin, all utilities and the use of the common areas. Cleaning, bed linen and towels. Wifi, CCTV 24h, maintenance and a great management team. If you live in a studio, you can have full-board pensin as an extra service.

What is not included in the price of the residence?

Your takeaway sushi, the laundry of your own clothes, photocopies and parking.

Are the rooms mixed?

Even though our residence is mixed, the rooms are not. In twin rooms, both residents must be the same sex.

Can I choose my room?

You can tell us the one you like the most and well try to pour best, so sometimes, we cant guarantee it.

From when can I arrive?

You should arrive on the fist day of your contract. If you need to arrive earlier, please, consult.

What do I have to bring?

Your stuff! Your room is fully equipped but bring a network cable, your favorite photo, some hangers

What should I not bring?

Bed linen or towels. Neither too much stuff, you wont need it!

Can I decorate my room?

As long as you leave it as you found it, there wont be any problem. Otherwise, we might have to charge for damages.

Can I bring pets?

Even though we love animals, no.

Is there a laundry room?

Yes and you will find two types of washers and dryers. One works with an app, and the other one is coin operated.

Is there a mail service?

Yes. We will take your letters and packets. Please note cautiously the policy concerning the mail service in the contract.

Have I got internet?

Yes. The Residence has a super-fast fibre-optic broadband connection. In your room you will also have a cable connection and there is wifi throughout the building.

Can I have a party?

Not in your room, but you can request permission to use the common areas. But you need to know that we will organise parties as well!

Can I have friends stay?

Overnight guests are strictly controlled. You have to ask for permission and wait for the confirmation from the management. You should plan in advance for this.

Can I park in the residence?

Yes and the garage has a reduced price for residents.
