Recycling is one of the best ways to have a positive impact on the world. Recycling is important to both the natural environment and them. To support this, recycling and refuse bins are provided throughout the accommodation and residents are encouraged to use the facilities provided to recycle waste where possible.
Items should be emptied and rinsed before recycling. Incorrect disposal can contaminate waste loads and prevent recycling.
Glass bottles and jars can be recycled, but broken glass and light bulbs must not be recycled. Items without a recycling label must go in the refuse bin. Other non-recyclable items include batteries, electrical appliances, kitchen waste, polystyrene, foam, and sanitary products.
