University of Cambridge


Established in the year 1209, the University of Cambridge is a collegiate public research university located in the city of Cambridge, England. Apart from this, the University of Cambridge is the second oldest university in the English speaking world and the fourth oldest operating university in the world.

The University of Cambridge received its royal charter in the year 1231 by King Henry III. The university currently caters an average of 18,000 students every year.

The university offers a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across 6 faculties out of which the particularly famous ones include Law, Economics and Science.


With a population of 123,867 people, Cambridge is a country town of Cambridgeshire located at a distance of 50 miles north from the capital city of London. 

The small city is mostly dominated by colleges and university buildings, which have been a piece of the city’s history for over 800 years.
