About

Established in 1894, City University of London is a public research university located in London, the United Kingdom which has its origin traced back to 1894. Founded as Northampton Institute, the institution received its university status by royal charter in the year 1966 and was renamed as The City University. 

Later on, in the year 2001, the Inns of Court School of Law which was established in 1852 merged with the City making it the University's oldest constituent part. And in the year 2016, City University, London joined the federal University of London and became a part of the eighteen colleges and ten research institutes that make up the London University. Organised into five schools, the City, University of London currently caters a total of 19,500 students and offers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Also, the University holds strong links with the Association of MBAs, EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), University of London and Universities UK.
