    If a UK student visa is refused before the tenancy start date, the applicant may request cancellation by submitting written confirmation and official refusal documentation within 3 calendar days of the decision and before 20 September. If approved, the tenancy will be cancelled and any advance rent will be refunded. If the visa is refused after the tenancy has started, the resident will be required to vacate the accommodation but will remain liable for rent until a replacement tenant is found o

    Prospective first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students may request cancellation if their university withdraws their offer due to not achieving the required entry grades, or if they exceed their grades and choose another university.
