    How secure is the accommodation?

    They have CCTV in and around each property, an electronic key entry system for the main entrance, common areas, each flat and bedroom. There is also staff on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    What if something in my apartment breaks down?

    Report it through the resident portal or at reception and their on-site maintenance team will arrange a repair - most issues are fixed within a couple of days.

    What happens if I don't get on with my new flat mates?

    Speak to the on-site team - where availability allows, they can arrange a room move so you can find a better fit.

    Can I live with my friends?

    Yes - book together and let them know, and they’ll do their best to place you in the same flat or on the same floor.

    Can I book if I’m under 18?

    All students living at a property in England are required to be over the age of 17 during the academic year booked; in Scotland students must be age 16 or over. Students who will be under the age of 18 when they begin their stay at the property should contact the team before booking to ensure suitability.

    Can I choose who I live with?

    You may request to be in a single sex cluster. You can also request to be in a room close to or within the same flat as your friends, however this is subject to availability. Whatever your requirements, they will do all they can to accommodate your request.

    Can I live with my partner?

    Some of their studios allow free dual occupancy, meaning you can share your room with another person - at no additional charge. This is available in all double occupancy rooms, please speak to your property team for more information.

    Is the property suitable for mature students?

    Absolutely. Their residents come from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and stages of study. Whether you want to get involved in community events or simply enjoy a comfortable place to live while you focus on your studies, you'll find a welcoming and supportive environment at the property.

    What time can I move in?

    So things don’t get too hectic, they ask their students to book different arrival timeslots prior to move in. Further details will be sent before your check in date.

    What comes with my room?

    Your room comes furnished and ready for student life, with storage and the essentials you need to settle in.

    Am I allowed to bring electrical appliances with me?

    For safety reasons they can’t allow any electrical equipment that doesn’t comply with all relevant British standards. They do not allow portable heaters in any of their rooms.

    Is there a fridge?

    Yes – each studio, apartment and shared flat has a kitchen with a fridge freezer. They do not allow additional fridge freezers, however if you need one for medical reasons please speak to your property team.

    Do I need a TV licence?

    You’ll need to purchase a TV licence if you watch or record live television or use BBC iPlayer in your room or common space, on a TV you bring or one that is preinstalled in your room, flat, studio or apartment.

    Can I decorate my room?

    They don’t allow you to paint, change fixtures, fittings or curtains. Many of their rooms come with pin boards so you can easily make the space your own. If you attach items to your wall, this could leave marks, and you might be charged. Always check with your property team if you are unsure.

    Where do I wash my clothes?

    Every property has an easy-to-use laundry room with washing and drying machines operated by Circuit Laundry. Instructions on how to use the machines can be found in the laundry. The laundry rooms are open 24 hours, and you will need to provide your own detergent.

    Can I bring an e-bike or scooter?

    No. E-bikes and e-scooters are not permitted at any property because of the fire risk associated with their batteries.

    What happens if something breaks or there is a problem with my room?

    You can report maintenance issues online through the Student Portal. Their onsite maintenance team will respond to the issue as soon as possible.

    Who cleans the building?

    You are in charge of cleaning your room, studios and apartments. In shared flats you should all clean the communal area. Their Housekeepers will take care of the stairwells, entrances and any social spaces. If you notice anything that doesn’t look right, or are having problems keeping shared spaces clean, please let them know.

    Do I have to supply my own food?

    Yes, you do. Their properties have plenty of local supermarkets nearby.

    Can I have guests to stay?

    You’re welcome to have guests visit during your stay. They ask that visitors respect their community and are considerate of the people around them. Guests may stay for up to three consecutive nights, and you are responsible for their behaviour while they’re here. For everyone’s safety, please do not share your key or access fob. Speak to your property team if you have any questions.

    What happens if I stop being a full-time student?

    You can still live at the property until the end of your Agreement; however, you will become liable for council tax during this time, and you must inform your property team. Please see their cancellation policy if you would like to leave your agreement.
