Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book if I'm under 18?

If you’re under 18 but turn 18 during your first semester, you can book at properties with 24/7 security, provided an adult over 18 co-signs your tenancy agreement and accepts its terms. Some properties accept under-18s subject to their specific policy for students under 18.

How do you allocate rooms?

During the application process, you’ll answer questions to determine your room/flat type and any special requests. Special requests aren’t guaranteed unless you have a disability covered under the Equality Act 2010, in which case they’ll prioritize your needs as far as practicable. Inform them of any disability, medical condition, or special requests (e.g., cultural, religious, or gender preferences) in the additional notes section of your application to aid room allocation. Applicants with disabilities may be prioritized.

Can I purchase bedding and kitchen packages?

Yes, you can order bedding and kitchen packages through their starter kit ordering portal, which will be ready upon your arrival.

What do I need to bring with me?

You need to bring photographic ID to pick up your keys.

Does my rental price include room cleaning?

Room cleaning services are available at some properties for an additional charge, unless explicitly included in the rent.

What can I bring?

You can bring most belongings, but non-UK compliant electricals (e.g., rice cookers) are not suitable due to fire risks from incompatible power outlets.

Can I request to move rooms during my tenancy?

Yes, you can make a formal request to the accommodation team. If approved, you’ll receive new documents to sign or accept online. If the new room is more expensive, you and your guarantor will be liable for the higher rent from the date of access.

Do I have to move out during the holidays?

No, your room is yours for the full contract period, and you don’t need to move out during academic breaks.

Do I need to pay council tax?

Full-time students are exempt from council tax. Provide a council tax exemption certificate from your university. If you don’t have it at move-in (e.g., not yet enrolled), bring your university name and student ID number.

Out of all of the student accommodations in london, this has been the most decent when it comes to the rooms and facilities and staff as well. I loved it so much. All of the rooms have their bathroom and kitchen; the standard room has a pool table! There is a beautiful garden in the back, and a bike shed. The management team has been so friendly, and they also do their best to help even during weekends if it was an emergency.
